1 Hydraulic Power Assist Steering System problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2003

I have had a noticeable groaning in my steering whenever I turn the wheel. I noticed this problem from the first day I had the car. The dealer and Honda customer service tells me this is a "characteristic" of the car. They say that many power steering pumps make this noise. I believe that people have characteristics, cars have defects and car companies have word to equivocate. I still have a 12 year old Honda which is a delight after 380,000 miles. I don't look forward to hearing this one groan for the next 12 years.

2 Hydraulic Power Assist Steering System problem

While driving at any speed vehicle will continuously pull to the left/right. This makes it very difficult to steer when going around a curb. Cause unknown.
