1 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/26/2019

My driver side air bag turned on and has been on ever since also when I press on my breaks the the locks on the doors make a clicking noise.

2 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 02/23/2018

Takata recall I own two Honda Accords, a 2010 Honda Accord (VIN 1hgcp2f38aa014909) and a 2013 Honda Accord VIN 1hgcr2f55da260283). Both Accords have been identified in the takata backruptcy proceedings as needing air bag replacements. I finally received the official Honda recall for the 2010 Honda Accord passenger side airbag this past Friday, 2/23/18. I have still not recevied any recall to fix the 2013 Honda Accord air bag(s). I called the Honda dealership where I purchased both cars new and was told there would be a recall "at some future point" for the 2013 Honda Accord, but the service advisor I spoke to could not be more specific than that. In December, 2017 there were no airbag recalls for either Honda Accord on the NHTSA website. I just checked again for an airbag recall on the 2013 Honda Accord and nothing for airbags. The recall for the 2010 Honda Accord specifically states: "Honda suggests that you avoid having a passenger sit in the front passenger's seat until the recall has been performed. " obviously, this is pretty dangerous stuff. I have received no advisories and no safety advice or precautions from Honda automobile division / american Honda motor company regarding front passengers or steps to take to avoid injury in case of air bag deployment in the meantime (or until such time as a recall is officially ordered). If these takaka airbags are a known dangerous issue for over two years now and these airbags can kill or injure passengers, and my 2010 Honda just received it's recall now, in February, 2018 - when can I expect to see the recall on my 2013 Honda Accord? 2021?I cannot sell or trade my 2013 because of this known airbag problem, other dealers will not touch this car. Please take action to force Honda to advise owners to give a projected date for a recall and what to do until such time as a recall is ordered / available. Thank-you.

3 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/26/2015

On June 26, 2015 we discovered the passenger side air bags had deployed some time during the night on this 2013 Honda Accord. My daughter had had an accident in early may 2015, but the damage was minor. On the driver's side front. Around the same time, her mirror got knocked off her passenger door. I contacted Honda, who eventually said they had determined it was not a defect and that I needed to pursue a claim with my auto insurance. My case number with Honda is 373-1168. I made a claim with my insurance company, progressive. That claim number is 15-2931018. I sent NHTSA an email complaint at that time, but never heard back. Today I received an airbag recall notice on a 2012 Honda Accord my youngest daughter owns. I am very disappointed that NHTSA has not responded. I ultimately paid $2,984. 60 in repairs for the airbags. Honda airbags have a known airbag problem. I think NHTSA should make them reimburse me. I have attached a copy of the invoice. My email is jgordon@shulerlawfl. Com. My phone (cell) is 850-653-5551. My mailing address is p. O. Box 850, apalachicola, FL 32329. Please help. Sincerely, j. Gordon shuler.

4 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 11/05/2014

While driving alone into a marked space in a public parking lot, my foot slipped off the brake and hit the accelerator. The vehicle then accelerated into the concrete base of a light pole. Immediately, the vehicle bumper crumpled, the left side of the hood crumpled, and the passenger side air bag activated. There was no one except myself in the vehicle and the driver side airbag did not activate. At this date, November 10, I have no idea how much damage was done to the vehicle.

5 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 04/30/2013

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2013 Honda Accord. The contact stated that there was a sudden loss of power and control of the vehicle. While driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle veered to the right and crashed into a pole. The front driver and passenger side air bags deployed with force. The driver sustained a broken right arm, minor bruising, and scratches from the impact, which required medical assistance. The front passenger sustained shock and whiplash, which also required medical assistance. A police report was filed. The insurance company towed the vehicle to a collision center. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure years later. The VIN and failure mileage were not available.
