I drove a 2005 Honda Accord. After two days of purchased which was in April , 2005 I pulled out of the parking space my left front tire was popped. I had it replaced and called the dealership. They sent me to one of their tire affiliate dealer and they said that it was not manufacturer faults. Four or five months after, I heard my brakes making this screech loud noise so I brought in for the dealer to take a look at and they had it re-do on the brake. Last week, beginning of may 2006. The car bring in my attention on the freeway. When I drive at 65 miles, the car was shaking, it moves side to side and I don't have that much control with the wheels. I brought it in and the dealer had my wheels rotate for me. And today, this morning I dropped my daughter to her baby sitter house at 9:30 a. M. It is a busy residential area so I was driving around 15-20 miles per hour. I heard a very loud noise from my car and the car was dragging something in the front, right passenger side for few seconds and the car was dead stop in the middle of the street. I could not start the engine at all. So I went out and looked. I saw my front right side car dropped on it's own wheel with black pieces, bolt, and silver ring piece scattered on the street. I looked down and saw my front right axle was broken and felt down on the street. There are neighbors walked by and saw what happened. I called a towed truck and they came by to towed my car to the nearby Honda dealer. With the condition the car was in. The tow truck man told me that he might had scraped my front bumper because my car had very small space for the lift of his truck to go under and lift up the car. We managed to secured the car and had it towed to the dealership. And they said that they will take a look at it.

The vehicle in question has serious problems and dealership is doubting the safety of it. It has been "clipped" I had it fully inspected by a mechanic that I trusted. We took it back to the dealership and today it will be checked by there mechanic however the man was not professional in dealing with me. The car I was told was unsafe and should not have been sold in the state of California?.

The contact owns a 2000 Honda Accord. While driving 5 mph, the vehicle hesitated and then accelerated when shifted from first to second gear. When pulling out of a driveway, the vehicle stopped after 10-20 seconds. The vehicle was inspected and the mechanic stated that the driver's side axle shield failed. The mechanic stated that there was a 50/50 chance that the repair would correct the failure or a new transmission would be needed. The vehicle has had two transmission repairs, but the second transmission began displaying the same symptoms as the first one. The contact will need a new transmission. The check engine light illuminated during the first failure. The dealer stated that there was class action suit in 2006 that was settled. They also stated that the transmission failure would be repaired under warranty. However, the dealer is currently being uncooperative and will not assist. The vehicle has not yet been repaired. The failure and current mileages were 161,000.

Consumer was driving at 30 mph when the right front passenger wheel came off. Vehicle was towed, and it was determined that the lower ball joints separated, and the axle cracked. Manufacturer stated that this vehicle was not included in the ball joint NHTSA recall 99v069000. . . . . As aresult, of broken lower ball joint right front wheel detached and was lodged undeneath the body of the vehicle. The front end was on the ground, and fluid was leaking all over the road. Consumer called aaa and vehicle was towed t a local mechanic, who identified the problem as a broken right side lower ball joint. However, it was obvious to the mechanic that this was not a typical problen, and was not the result of naural wear. There was a technical servic ebulletin which applied to this vehicle. Mechanic replaced lower ball joint and cracked axle. In addition, had the ball joint on the other side replaced, even though it seemed to be tight, as a precaution so that this would not happen again.

Complaint received via e-mail. I purchased a brand new car, and since then I have been back to the dealership numerous amounts of times for many problems. First problem was my brakes needed to be replaced at 4600 miles, but weren't replaced until 7700 miles 3. 5 months later due to back order. Currently, with 17,900 miles the brakes were grinding again. This is my 3rd Honda, and the worse one, yet likely my last. The second problem was that my right rear door was locked for 3 months. The dealer claimed that the problem was due to getting my windows tinted, but they attempted to fix three times, and was told the third time the problem only occurs if the temperature goes below 32 degrees. Since then the temperature has been over 32 degrees. I also have problems with sulfur odor coming from the exhaust, and was told that this was normal problem ,would go away with time. But as time goes by the odor gets worse, and smells like rotten eggs. Another problem with the car is the alignment has been off since I bought the car. I have had my own mechanic look at the car, and he believes the car won't align correctly because of the axles. The final problem with my piece of crap Honda is the driver seat isn't secure, it slides very little back and forth and side to side.

My 03, Honda, Accord had been drifting to the right, and felt a little bumpy. While I was driving my axle had snapped off. This was something Honda never heard off, and said it was my fault, saying I had hit something. There is no damage done to my car, proving nothing was hit. I am very scared to have this happen to me I am glad that I was slowing down. I am not sure how this happened, but it was not due to any actions caused by me. Honda has claimed that they have nothing to do with this since there seems to be no mechanical problems. Also Honda said this could never happen to their car and that was all they wanted to say.
2000 Honda Accord: power train axle-wheel bearings. Both front wheel bearings had to be replaced. 70,000 miles on odometer. Car is gently driven over smooth roads. Honda contacted. Dealer not contacted.
