1 Power Train Driveline problem of the 2010 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 03/14/2011

Vehicle exhibits a whining noise at 50 55 mph. It sounds like a gear noise from the transmission or rear axle. My vehicle has 7000 miles on it now and the noise has been always there since the vehicle was new. The problem is getting worse and I am concerned the noise exhibits a potential failure resulting in a vehicle accident.

3 Power Train Driveline problem of the 2003 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 07/01/2010

I own a 2003 Honda Accord that is having constant problems shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear (automatic transmission). This has caused me numerous issues merging onto the highway because the vehicle fails to accelerate. I have nearly caused accidents and have had to make emergency stops on the side to try to work through this issue and get the vehicle to shift and accelerate. The shift from 2nd to 3rd fails almost every time.

4 Power Train Driveline problem of the 2003 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 06/25/2010

Complete transmission failure. Our daughter was lucky not to have been killed driving on a crowded outerbelt when the Honda Accord just quit. Local dealership recognizes a huge problem with this model, but corporate Honda is just waiting for a tragedy to occur. Just spent $1100 on new brakes, and now they want $4000 for new transmission. We are going to fight this. Honda is pathetic.

5 Power Train Driveline problem of the 2009 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/02/2010

What happens when a light on the instrument panel comes on or goes off? you look at it - taking your eyes off the road. The 'eco' light (notification of cylinder deactivation feature being dis/activated) located just below the tachometer regularly comes on and off causing a distraction. Asked multiple dealers, they have no way of disabling this distracting light. At first, I figured I would be accustomed to the light going on and off all the time; having had the car for 9+ months it still annoys me. I have no issue with the eco feature, just the stupid, distracting light.

7 Power Train Driveline problem of the 1999 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 06/02/2008

Got a car tune-up done by a Honda dealership. The gears shifted a lttle different but I attributed it to the tune-up. It progressively got worst so I took it back to the dealer to have it checked. After their analysis, they diagnosed it as a "bad differential" and it needed a new transmission. The car only had 78,000 when it was at the dealer for the tune-up the end of may. Do I have any recourse through the manufacturer???.

8 Power Train Driveline problem of the 2005 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/25/2005

My 2005 Honda Accord has 40k miles on it and from the original date of purchase to and including today's date my vehicle pulls to the right. This occurs in 4-6 seconds I have taken it to my local dealer numerous times to have this repaired beginning at 1k miles. During this time they have aligned it 2 times and the tires have been rotated 5 times. I informing my dealer of this problem everytime I take my car in for my regular oil change (every 3-4k miles) at which time my dealer advises me this is 1. A "safety feature" and/or 2. The problem is due to low tire pressure. They claim to inflate the tires, rotate or align my car and to date it is not fixed. I have had all work done at stockton Honda and to date I have received no satisfaction in getting this fixed.
