The driver's side mirror is distorted causing the cars to appear further away than they actually are. There is a horizontal line that contributes to the distortion. I have been having a difficult time with this since I purchased the vehicle. It also makes me dizzy/have double vision as I look into the mirror after a few seconds. This distortion caused me to get into an accident where I was changing lanes thinking the vehicle in the lane left to me was further behind me. Both vehicles had extensive damage and the drivers injuries. On several other occasions I have vehicles beeped at me when I am changing lanes because they are closer than they appear in my mirror. I took the car back to Honda for the repairs and the employee was aware of the distortion the mirror causes. In fact, on the way to the dealership I almost had another crash, something I told the Honda representative. As I think back of when I test drove the vehicle before purchase, the salesperson took me on a road where there were no other vehicles passing by us so that I could realize the distortion. I contacted Honda's main customer service number and have been told that Honda designed their mirror that way so that the driver has a larger view of the vehicles in their blind spot. This design is flawed and causes a dangerous distortion making the vehicles appear further away and making the driver think that they have time to change lanes.

While driving I went to put my visor down to block the sun and it popped out, dangling by the electric cord. I had to hold it up while driving, otherwise it hung right in front of my face.

In early 2011, I noticed that the backlights for the hvac controls, radio, and gear shifter all went out. The cabin is completely dark when driving at night. When I contacted Honda, they said that this is an identified problem on some 2003-2004 Accords but that my car is excluded from the extended warranty. The repair is $1,000 which is not a reasonable cost for a manufacturer defect. It is very difficult to operate the vehicle at night without a properly lit cabin.

I purchased a 2008 Honda Accord and the lights continuously flicker whenever I use the ac or heating. The flickering is so prevalent that I'm afraid that others drivers may think I'm flashing my lights at them. This is a physical safety issue as I'm afraid of road rage as well as the fear that the car will ultimately stop functioning due to the amount of power that appears to be being used when the flickering happens.
2010 Honda Accord crosstour. Consumer states design defect impedes proper rear view vision. The consumer stated the rear window of the vehicle has a heavy bar running horizontally in the middle of the window. The bar may have been required for the structure of the rear door, but it substantially blocked the rear vision for the driver.
I have 2003 Honda Accord. The sun visor on the driver side and passenger side failed. I have been on the web and is a problem with Honda. I brought it to the dealer attention early this year. Honda said they are not responsible for this situation. There are thousand s of Honda owners with the same problem.

Honda 2005 Accord my power windows will not always function. Window will not go down when switch is pressed. If it is down, it will not come up. Neither direction works correctly. This has been happening for almost 5 months. This week the window went down while I was driving but had not pressed the switch. Our Honda fit 2007 just received a recall notice for this exact issue. Is there also a problem with Honda Accord 2005?.
I have a 2002 Honda Accord ex that has continuously been having transmission issues including jerking in and out of gear revving up witout moving and switching gears. Also having noticed I forgot to put car in park and turned off my car taking keys out of gear. Both of these problems are big safety issues and have occurred since owning the car for two years. I am now faced with getting a new transmission on a car that had originally less then 100 thousand miles on it when purchased. I have also had to replace the head lights and brake lights 3 times since owning the car and I have never left lights on for an extended period.

The dealer and manufacturer were made aware of the failure and offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 0 and the current mileage was 24,000. Why are all auto manufacturers continuing to produce vehicles in colors of silver, grey and black which all blend in with fog, asphalt, concrete and the dark of night? what a brilliant safety feature. Is this so the vehicle has to be replaced often as no one can see them very well? no brainer!.

Events - normal driving. How often - every time driving the automobile. What was done? nothing. Dealer stated this is normal performance of the vehicle. Description - headlights dim while driving the automobile. I stated to the dealer that I am concerned about, the vehicle will be poorly illuminated, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash. However, the dealer stated that this is a normal performance for the Honda Accord. I am fearful of driving this car at night due to the amount that the headlights dim.
1) headlight projection very poor. Difficult to see100 feet ahead. This is exacerbated by a draw on the electrical system that makes the headlights dim while car is in motion. I will not drive the car at night or at night while it is raining. I feel that the car is dangerous and on several occasions I almost hit pedestrians walking or on a bicycle. This occurs on a daily basis and is constant. The Honda dealer inspected the issue once and stated that there was no defect, but that the car operates to normal specification and id comparable to all 2008 Honda Accord 4 cylinder models. This issue was prevalent since I took delivery of the new car in July, 2008. 2. ) since taking delivery of this vehicle and to the present date, there is a wobble/wheel shimmy in the suspension at various speeds and different degrees of severity on a daily basis. On the first repair attempt the dealer replaced several tires and performed a high tech wheel balance using a hunter 9700 road force balancing machine. The problem was not corrected. On the second visit the dealer test drove the car and stated that the issue is a characteristic of the vehicle and other Honda Accord 4 cylinder models with the same engine, transmission and suspension. Conclusion: this car is dangerous, exhibits very poor steering and ride as it wanders and shimmies all over the road. This problem combined with poor headlight projection and dimming headlights make this vehicle a major hazard on wheels.
4-cyl engine shutdown at traffic light while idling. Car would not restart, windows and moonroof would open but not close, shift lever would not go out of "park". By some miracle driver and car survived rush hour traffic at dusk with assistance from police officer. Car towed to Honda dealer who replaced 50 amp fuse (actually a multiple fuse) labeled "ig". Dealer advised by Honda to giggle wires to try to duplicate problem. Problem did not reoccur and dealer returned car after 4 days. Old part not available. I doubt that the fuse was defective and suspect problem will reoccur. 4300 miles on car, an ex.
Drive window and cruise control stopped working. Hondas are supposed to be the best cars, in my opinion I think they are the worst. I wouldn't never own another one. Everything brakes in Hondas.
Noticed Honda factory service bulletin #05-034 explains why headlamps dim at night, faulty circuit in fuse box of 2003, 2004 and some 2005 Hondas, why is this not a recal?.
The contact owns a 2002 Honda Accord. In cold weather conditions, the contact noticed that the driver's side window had spontaneously fractured. The windows were replaced at the cost of $180. Three years later, while driving at an unknown speed, the passenger side window spontaneously shattered. The manufacturer referred her back to the dealer. The failure mileage was 78,000 and current mileage was 140,000.
The vehicle (VIN:1hgcm82663a029794) was purchased on 5/30/03. Unfortunately we did not notice the very significant design defect until after we had purchased the car. The design defect is that this particular vehicle has very restricted visibility, particularly noted while driving. It's as if "you're looking out through slots. " after my wife had a small accident in the vehicle, at least partially due to restricted visibility, we sold the vehicle, fearing worse accidents in the future. Correspondence with american Honda motor company has not been answered.
2009 Honda Accord. Consumer states continued knocking and rumbling noise when the heat is turned on. Issues persist after being taken in several times for service.
Reflection of the dashboard is causing poor visibility during inclement weather, as well as at different lighting situations.
