The contact owns a 2003 Honda Accord. The contact stated while attempting to park the vehicle, she placed the vehicle in reverse to straighten the vehicle however, the steering wheel was making a clicking sound. The contact was able to turn the steering wheel however, the vehicle failed to respond. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact also stated the front passenger’s side wheel was making a clicking sound. The contact stated that the wheel was fractured from the lug. The vehicle was not diagnosed; however, the wheel was replaced. The contact notified the local dealer of the sound coming from the steering wheel; however, the contact was informed that if the steering was removed, there air bags might not function properly. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

2 Wheel Rim problem of the 2006 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 05/07/2014

The contact owns a 2006 Honda Accord. After the contact attempted to rotate all of the tires, the rims became stuck to the rotors. The contact placed oil between the rims and rotors and was able to remove and rotate the tires. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 120,000.

3 Wheel Rim problem of the 2009 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 03/10/2009

The contact owns a 2009 Honda Accord. While driving 50 mph, the steering column shook violently when the brakes were applied. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but they could not duplicate or remedy the failure. Upon further inspection, the contact noticed that water would freeze inside the wheel rims in wet, freezing conditions. The failure caused the rotors to rust and the braking system not to perform at its full potential. The contact called the manufacturer and was informed that no compensation would be provided because the VIN was not included in a recall. The VIN was unavailable. 4 Wheel Rim problem of the 2005 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/01/2004

Julie was driving home from work in her new 2005 Honda Accord coupe when her right front wheel came apart. Luckily, the failure did not cause any injuries or deaths, however, she was traveling at a high rate of speed consistent with the roadway she was driving on and the car swerved to the right and she had a hard time stoping the car since the brakes had been damaged. The parts and pieces from her wheel caused two other cars to be damamged, by flat tires. The reason for filing this complaint is two fold; (1) to protect anyone else that may have this problem and to register a complaint against Honda motor company who would not stand behind thier oem equipment.

All 4 rims on vehicle are leaking air pressure. Must fill tires on a daily basis. Car is still under warranty and Honda will not replace. This is a serious situation that could cause crash and fatality if tire were to blow out because of under inflation.

While driving vehicle ,after three attempts to put air in the front passenger tire, air pressure remains low. Owner took vehicle to dealer, and was told the front passenger's side rim was cracked. Owner is very concerned for safety.

Consumer called complaining about the rims on the vehicle. Also stated that he has been loosing air on a everyday basis. Dealer and manufacture were contated and stated that there is no warranty or recall so there was nothing they can do also stated that for the consumer to take the tires off and to clean the rims. Rims were original equipment. Ts.

8 Wheel Rim problem of the 2000 Honda Accord

Consumer complains of a design flaw concerning the dimension of the wheels, the wall protrudes out further than the wall of the tires, when parallel parking or simply pulling up to a curb, the wheel makes initial contact with a curb, the impact is absorbed by the wheel which has caused substantial damage to the surface of the wheel.
