Brake Light On Problems of Honda Accord Hybrid

Tl the contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle stalled but restarted. The contact stated that the brake lights were illuminated while driving. Additionally, there was an abnormal revving sound detected. The vehicle was taken to stokes Honda north (8650 rivers Ave, north charleston, SC 29406, (843) 572-4700) but was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted nor informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

I was driving down a road near a construction site, I slowed down because the care in front of me made a quick right hand turn. The brake light sensor went off and it self braked. The car in front had already made the right hand turn when the car self braked to a full stop. I couldn't get it to stop. The guy behind me almost hit me, but I couldn't get the car to stop breaking and go so the guy behind me would't hit me. Luckily I didn't get hit. But the self breaking system is making me nervous. I wanted to add that it had been raining previously in the day and it was sort of over cast. The care was in motion on a city street going straight.

On my way back to home in san diego CA in late Jan 2019 the panel started showing warning signs like brake system light on, adaptive cruise control/road departure mitigation/lane keeping assist system (lkas) lights are all on saying failure. This was the second time for my around 2000 miles Accord Hybrid. The first time it was able to resolve by re-power on the car but second time it was completely failed. Then I went back to dealer the other day and it turned out the multipurpose camera did not work properly under rain and low temperature (it was just typical san diego winter) so they replaced one. It is extremely dangerous since I have seen people reported the same issue everywhere. After the replacement the auto-highbeam started working as well, before I didnt even know it was not working. . Our car's brake lights failed at night in orland park, IL, luckily another driver alerted us that they were unlit and not operating during braking. We also noticed the collision avoidance system had failed, called our dealer & brought the car in for repair the next morning (Jan. 14, 2019); we received a loaner since this was a major safety issue (it took two days for parts to be available). Honda told us the brake lights failed due to a defective radar sensor. I have contacted Honda several times to urge them to fix this bug, as brake lights should always work and not be controlled by software. Honda has refused to acknowledge that this safety defect needs an immediate fix, so I am documenting it so the us dot can pressure them to fix it as rapidly as possible.
