Three problems related to accelerator stuck have been reported for the 1996 Honda Civic. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Accelerator pedal got stuck and accident occurred.
When pressing on accelerator pedal it would stick. Vehicle would suddenly jerk forward or reverse, if pressed too hard. Whenever this happens, vehicle would run rough.
Accelerator gets stuck after acceleration , causing alot of wear on the brakes.
