Two problems related to speed control cable have been reported for the 1998 Honda Civic. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving the vehicle accelerator cable got around the cruise control, causing the vehicle to accelerate and almost caused an accident. Had to break a part around the cruise control in order to stop the vehicle.
Accelerator pedal sticks, several cables mounted too tight and needed adjustment.
