There’s been a safety recall and I took my car like more than a year ago to repairs and then the check the car but told me the piece it’s not ready yet. I have to wait almost a whole year for it and I receive the notification that the piece was ready. When I call to make the appointment the lady told me that I receive the notification but the piece it’s not on the Honda yet and I have to wait. Wait more ? I’m seriously concerned about my car and even though I receive the notification that it’s ready she says they haven’t receive the piece yet ? this is a serious matter and my car and even my family we are driving the car and this is absolutely not ok. I don’t know how much more do I have to wait.

I financed this car 3 months ago, and I received a safety recall notice from Honda. Unfortunately, they don't have the necessary part until 2025. As a result, I've been unable to rent out the car on toro for the past 2 months to make finance payments. Additionally, due to a previous car accident, I don't feel safe driving the car, which causes me anxiety. Now, I'm unsure what steps to take. I want to return the car without negatively impacting my credit score, as this situation is not my fault. I'm losing both money and payments because of the recall, and the car can't be fixed until 2025.

I was informed of a recall notice for my vehicle in the summer months of 2024 (approximately). I took my vehicle to the culver city Honda dealership in los angeles to address this, however they informed me that the issue was not critical and that they did not have the parts. Hence, the recall notice has still not been addressed. I recently (June 2025) imported this vehicle to canada and I am unable to proceed with the import procedure because of this outstanding recall notice.
Driver seat and the seat belt squeaking. Started at 3k miles. Usually at lower speeds, sometimes the seat belt is squeaking even just if I’m breathing. Makes me worry about the quality of the assembly of parts.
-two back seat belts have malfunctioned. The back driver side seat buckle has unattached from the car. The middle back seat belt came unattached from the car. It is available for inspection but have an appointment to get fixed tomorrow. -mine and my family's safety was put at an increased risk for danger. Two seat belts have malfunctioned in the back seat just from normal wear. My infant daughter rides in the back seat and I trust that the seat belts would function correctly for normal use! -I am not sure. I have an appointment with Honda dealership tomorrow. -it has not currently been inspected. -no symptoms prior and no reasonable explanation for this to happen.
Brakes are relatively hard to press and bring the car to stop, the pedal is also located high, and as an uber driver it makes it difficult to brake constantly. I am getting knee pain and foot pain. Driver seat is very uncomfortable specially when driving for too long. It doesn't have lumbar support and is giving me lower back pain, my back compresses down and collapses into the section where there's no lumbar support. I feel like my disk is getting hurt. The seat is built in an angel. If I bring the seat low, my last bone of spine goes into the seat and hurts. If I bring the seat high, I get hip pain. The steering is somehow stiff to rotate even with lane departure being turned off. I am getting finger joint pain and elbow pain.

I have the sticky steering wheel issue that is being investigated by you guys at the moment as well as an issue in my seat. I have had the vehicle into dealer ship over four times with no resolution every time the dealership has told me they have no reports of an incident like mine.
Stopped at a red light, I was rear ended by a car going 30-35 mph and pushed into the car in front of me. The driver seat was in a reclining position after impact, I was sitting up when hit and wound up laying almost to the back seat after impact but the airbag never deployed causing my stomach to hit the steering wheel.
Driver seat feels off track, won’t catch onto bracket when adjusting seat.

I took this seat apart to fix a wobble. Now I think there might be a larger safety concern with these seats. Problem: the rear height adjustment bar on the driver's seat has yielded to failure along a weld. This bar is used for synchronizing the seat height on the remote side and sending side. Symptom: this results in the remote side of the seat's height to float, causing a small but significant amount of twisting of one side as the (driver's) seat rocks on the height adjustment feet. Safety: the "twisting" action in a collision could cause unexpected failure of seat. . Read more...

Since the purchase of the vehicle the srs warning light has continuously stayed illuminated on the dash board. My first thought of course was something was either wrong with the air bag system or the vehicle was involved in a collision that led to the air bags (which ones I have no clue) being deployed and so when I signed the bill of sale with the dealer I inquired about this issue and was given a paper that states the dealer did not know as well as to whaylt the airbag system status was but was to be excluded from liability to this issue by making up this ridiculous document. After seeing the car fax the vehicle was then known to have been in a head on collision in 2018 and so the dealer lied a bout not knowing anything about this issue. This dealer has been totally non compliant with the process of getting this issue addressed let alone fixed and I have tried on several attempts to talk to owner without any callback or answers. I knly get hounded about what they believe to be the balance due on the vehicle that's it . Just today I ran the VIN inn the database and sure enough there was an open recall on the air bag systwmm in accordance with this VIN and that's when I decided to file this complaint .

Auto braking when going onto or off a highway ramp/exit. Vehicle is in motion and I'm concerned of getting rear ended. Doesn't always occur. When using remote start the heated front seats do not come on I have to get into the car and start it.
I purchased a 2018 brand new Civic. Only had 15 miles on it. I only have had it now for four months and I can very confidently say this car is a lemon. The moon roof quit working. It just stopped working. Took it to aiken Honda and after four hours and two men working on it they tried to say it was a rock in it and they produced me a rock bigger than a fifty cent piece. There's no way that giant rock was in my moon roof. I would of seen it when I attempted to fix it myself. I think they just picked up one of the river rocks that are in their parking lot planters. (that's what it looked like, ironic huh? not to me because this Honda is the one who sold me this lemon along with scamming me out of 30,000. Do not shop here) so they refused to fix the moon roof. Even tho they made me without my concent purchase 3 warrantys (had no clue)) also the mechanical seat has some sort of defect that is kind of scary. If you go all the way back and lean all the way back (as to not hit the airbag and not lay down) it makes an awful ding noise in the seat that can be felt as if a giant spring is popping under the seat cushion and you can literally feel it hit hard. As if it might pop thru the seat into your butt cheek. . . Scared me.
~tl the contact owns a 2016 Honda cr-v. The contact stated that the driver's seat adjusted independently. There was no warning prior to the failure. The vehicle was taken to mike maroone Honda (1103 academy park loop, colorado springs, CO 80910, (719)888-2995) where the contact was informed there would be a fee charged to have the vehicle diagnosed. The contact declined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Passenger airbag never detects when my son or another preteen close to his age is sitting in the seat. It always turns off/ deactivates. If there was an accident the airbag would not deploy and provide safety for my child or his cousins when inside my vehicle.

My car was struck in an accident in which the air bags did not come out, not a single one. My car was stationary at a traffic light on a city street when another car at full speed struck from behind. From the impact the seat was twisted and once again no airbags came out. Additionally, the seat belt got stuck and once I unbuckled my seat belt it did not return to its place like it normally does. Within this complaint, I will attach pictures from the crash and it shows how the airbags did not come out.
When adjusting the drivers side height to lower position the level makes a grinding /stripping noise and seems to miss gears (levels) in between. Vehicle is only a little over a year old.
Driver seat: broken welds on the bottom right front of the seat due to use of poor material (very thin metal tubes broke). This happened while driving the seat lift system is attached to this tube and the seat pulled to the left abruptly and startles you. This is a safety issue due to that it happens when you are driving it. Then after this occurs the seat is no longer fully functional. You have to drive with it all the way down but the seat still moves due to the broken tube. Honda should replace this or supply a kit to repair this issue. I have been the only owner of this vehicle.

On September 15 2018 I was involved in a solo vehicle crash I fell asleep and hit a parked vehicle directly from behind resulting in me being propelled forward into the air bag than pushed back by the airbag in the seat. . . I was wearing my seatbelt but the seat bracket bent forward during collision pushing me into airbag causing serious chest contusions and inflammation of lower back. After the crash seat could not be moved forward or backward as the bracket was badly bent. I was able to get pictures of my vehicle from the outside and wash going to return to pull vehicle from tow but Honda pulled it out before I could and are in possession of the vehicle.
It need seat light dont work tite dpnt match check envine light is on brake light is on.

The car has a problem with the srs wiring harness that controls airbag deployment and driver and passenger safety. This causes the airbag light to come on and prevents proper deployment. The problem is extremely common in Hondas, specifically 8th generation cars. The cause is a poorly made wire that gets caught in the passenger seat track, causing a short in the wire. It can only be repaired properly and safely by removing the entire wiring harness and replacing it. This requires that the carpeting and the dashboard be removed and takes 6-8 hours worth of work, and is replaced with a $200-400 part depending on where you take it. It cannot be fixed easily or affordably by the consumer, and prevents the car from being safe to drive or passing inspections in the state of virginia. The problem may have occurred sooner, as the vehicle was only purchased used a few months ago. It happens in most Hondas and is not covered by the manufacturer's 150,000 mile warranty on other parts despite having released a TSB to all dealerships because the problem is so common. It presents a danger to drivers and deserves to have a recall issued.
Car stalls out after higher speed driving, usually coming to a hard stop, requiring me to restart. Once it happened while I was driving on the freeway, so it was a bit scary, a safety concern. Usually while coming to a stop is when it occurs exiting freeways. I would like Honda to fix, but they tell me my VIN is not affected but my make model and year are,NHTSA campaign number 02v120000, and my car has the symptoms of an ignition problem. Also the ignition switch is rough and sometimes the key jams. Note that it could be that its past 15 years since the recall notice went out, but I never received the notice. I feel they are liable for this repair, I never got. I should not have to foot the bill and hope for a reimbursement as was suggested by their customer service rep. Anything you can do to compel them to fix it, I would greatly appreciate. The most recent occurrence was on 02/25/18 exiting the freeway and coming to a stop.

Already specify what has the airbags the brakes, the seats. And he still manages it.
I purchased this vehicle on 9/17/2017. Less than three weeks later, the left side of the seat back was deformed, causing back pain and discomfort. I took the vehicle to the dealer and they manipulated the cushions to get the seat back to a more comfortable shape, however it didn't look the same as when it was brand new. A couple of months after that the cushions became displaced again. There are two cushions forming the side bolster, and the side airbag is designed to deploy between the cushions. I have been unable to get the cushions back into place and don't live close to my dealership so it is inconvenient to take it back in. Now I have back pain in the area where the seat is deformed and pushing into my back. I am taking it to the dealer next week however I am afraid even if they replace the seat this problem will keep occurring. I haven't had the car long enough to be able to trade it in without taking a huge loss. I am also concerned with how the side airbag deployment could be effected.
Horrible back/neck pain badly designed driver's seat I just bought a 2015 lx. I like the car but the front seats, the driver seat for me, are really poorly designed in a concave shape. After about 30 miles or so, I was in terrific back pain, like my back had been wrenched. This is beyond discomfort, graduating to health hazard. I am trying lumbar supports with limited success. I was driving Nissan rouge, which gave me no problem. I have also driven a number of other cars recently. I need help here!!.

The was just park and when I put the ignition key on the steering wheel and key ignition didn't want to start.
This complaint may seem petty to some individuals but it serious issue. The seat causes severe issues with lower hip and back. I am very active young individual and started experiencing pain preventing me from hard physical activity. Visited multiple doctors, therapists, and chiropractors. I should be better but sitting in the seats makes pain reappear. Driving this car is a big physical health danger and should be taken seriously from Honda.
Weight sensor 83-22 needs to be replaced after I had the takata airbag issue resolved, immediately after leaving Honda, the airbag light came on!! upon my immediate return, I was told it should be covered since it is internal in the seat, and should be covered just like airbag/seatbelts. I can not have anyone sit in that seat until it is repaired and now I have been told that I will have to pay for it. . . . Approximately $600.
