The tpms sensor keeps turning on since we bought this vehicle brand new from lia Honda of kingston. The problem was reported to american Honda (case # 11487126). Per their (Honda) advice, the vehicle was brought into the Honda dealership (lia Honda of albany and keeler Honda in latham) to diagnose this issue. Still, the service technicians were unable to identify the root cause of this issue. The readings from tire pressure for all tires showed no sign of leakage or low tire pressure. The ratings were taken at different intervals and showed the normal tire pressure readings. The issue still exists, and american Honda has not shown any interest in correcting this problem. The vehicle has roughly 7k miles and is still under full factory warranty. Thank you in advance for looking into this matter. -shakti chauhan.

I bought this car about 6 months ago. This is new Honda Civic 2020 and it have 17000 miles on that now. I just had a four wheel alignment for this car. How come the new need wheel alignment when it just about 17,000 miles. I feel unsafe if my car will need wheel alignment again.

While driving on highway going around a slight left bend in the road at 65mph, left rear tire sustained a sidewall blowout. Tires were inflated to spec by Honda dealer after oil change a month prior to blowout. Tpms system did not display under inflation warning and there was no reason to suspect under inflation prior to blowout. Tire: continental procontact TX 215/50 r17 91h tin: cn6a d754 2718.
On al sr149 "green springs highway," southbound, less than 500 feet from the oxmoor rd intersection, in the right lane, I hit a pothole with my front passenger tire. I did not notice the pothole while driving, but that didn't stop it from knocking the wheel out of allignment and bursting the tire. I had to use the emergency tools to change the tire on the side of I-65 after my tpms sensor went off. If I had not decided to buy a spare tire months ago, I would be set back at least $150 dollars. Please be more vigilant in ensuring safe driving conditions in the future.

Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while driving at various at speeds, the check tire pressure warning message would illuminate on the instrument panel. Despite checking all four tires and finding no faults; the warning message would continuously illuminate. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer to serviced or diagnosed. The manufacturer also had not been notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 221,000. Jo.
I was in a wreck may 2020. I swerved to miss a deer and hit a concrete colvert, the vehicle launched and my airbags didn't go off. Vehicle caught fire, my motor, transmission, and tires came off. I suffered from spinal injury and nerve damage.
Paint from factory is peeling off . My car only has 33,000 miles on it . I was washing my car and as a sprayed off my car with a light flow of water I saw pain chips flowing down the street. All of my wheels are starting to peel away slowly. I rarely drive so this is concerning to me.

Rack and pinion steering went completely out on vehicle causing car to crash into guardrail of a bridge. Car was in motion about to cross bay bridge when this happened, safety of driver and other vehicles was compromised. Car wars trying to turn right heading toward the bridge when rack and pinion failed car was stopped by hitting guardrail about 45 miles an hour. Starter had to be replaced the very next month also problems with transmission. All of this has been repaired by owner. I don't feel this should happen as vehicle does not have excess mileage on it.

There is something that makes the tires wear out fast and makes a noise.
Two of my four michelin pilot sport tires have belt separation. There is no evidence of impact damage (bulged sidewalls) the tires have under 28k miles, and the remaining tread I estimate at 6/32s. Both of these tires have spent most of their life on the rear of my 2015 Honda Civic sedan. Being on the rear (to me) means no weight of the engine/transmission, no steering force, no acceleration force, and under 50% of braking force. The front tires are in good condition. I noticed the problem with a gradual increase in noise from the rear, and I cannot pinpoint the exact start. The diagnosis came from costco tire center #0328. The technician showed me and had me touch/feel the defects with my hands. The defects are in the center of the tread, and are not near the sides at all. My tire size is 215/55r16 I do not have photos or further attachments. I can provide the serial numbers if required. The date below represents the diagnosis date. The zero speed represents at the time of diagnosis while the car was on the lift.

I was driving home and suddenly hear a whirring noise. I'm sure I didn't hit a bump or pothole at the time. The whirring kept going as I was trying to get closer to my home, then all of a sudden my car started wobbling from back and forth. I tried to make it as close to home as I could, but when I finally pulled over, I saw the tire completely exploded and was torn off the car, so I was basically riding on the rim. The tire tire off my fender liner as well.
Everytime I start the car I get a low tire pressure warning, I have checked all four tire pressures and the spare repeatedly, and regardless of wether I fill them with the correct pressure or not the tpms does not stop signaling low tire pressure. Warning has not gone away since it came up despite correcting pressure bi-weekly. Currently has been 6 months. Also occasionally the car will brake by itself both on the highway and around neighborhoods (low speeds and high) and without anyone in front.
Over 4 weeks ago, 2 weeks after leasing the 2020 car, the dashboard started to display numerous error messages. The car was evaluated at the dealer, Honda of freehold, NJ, and I was told that a certain module failed. Soon thereafter a tire warning light also started to display and once again the dealer told us not to be concerned as it is likely as a result of the same module. Not taking their word for it, I brought the car to a costco repair shop and a large nail was discovered in the tire. I've been in touch with the dealer and have also called many times to the corporate offices. The same answer was given the part is on back order and we will call you when we get it. No additional information or suggestion was given to us. In the meantime, over 4 weeks later, although the car is drivable none of the safety features are operational and I am not sure what warning lights to trust or ignore.
Steering becomes jerky and tends to stick after driving around for more than 20 minutes. Rather than a smooth turn of the steering wheel it requires a bit extra force to free up the steer wheel to make even minor adjustments. Driving at highway speeds to make a minor adjustment to stay in my lane requires a bit of extra force to free up the "stuck" steering wheel before I make the minor adjustment, but to make the minor adjustment the extra force required to free up the stuck steering wheel sometimes causes a major adjustment like drifting into another lane. I've determined that this normally occurs after the car has been driven for 20-30 minutes. Happens at highway speeds as well as just driving around town. Purchased car Nov 2019 this issue has been happening shortly after I got the car I realized it while traveling from texas to arkansas. Had an alignment bought new tires thinking that was the problem. Still did help.

My Honda Civic experienced severe rear tire wear on the inside edges about 10 months after purchase (as a new vehicle). In October 2009, the dealer replaced both rear upper control arms as described in Honda service bulletin 08-001, which has since been replaced by sb 13-047 (attached). The arm replacement was intended to return the tire camber angle to zero (see alignment criteria in last page of TSB) so the the wheel would be perpendicular to the road, and no longer cause wear at the inside edges. At a recent inspection, the tires were again found to be worn at the inside edges: there was about 1/4 inch of tread on the outside edge, but the cords were showing on the inside edges. I validated that the dealer had actually installed new control arms (they are marked with a "c" as described in the bulletin). Using a level, I determined that the top edge of the wheel was leaning inward about 9/16" inch, so it is apparent that the replacement arms do not correct the camber angle problem. It is true that the tire wear rate has been reduced by the replacement arms. However, since the inside edge wear is not obvious without crawling under the car, this condition could lead to tire failure. I corrected the problem by installing aftermarket control arms that have a length adjustment, which allows the correct camber to be achieved during alignment. As shown on page 1 of the sb, the Honda arm has no length adjustment.

It was raining, I went to slow down and it was as if the front wheels locked up, tcs blinking on and off, and the tires remained pulling as if power was still being sent to the front two, locked up, tires and I had no control as the car pulled me straight forward into the side of another vehicle resulting in a collision that had me hit a stopped car so hard it spun the other car around and totaled my car. This all happened within 500 feet of where I initially pulled out onto the road I was traveling on when the car started to malfunction to the road where I attempted to turn onto to avoid the crash and could not maneuver the vehicle at all.
Having issues with the brakes, acts like when you brake its seem like wants to keep going, purchase 3 mos ago from dealer, tires making grinding sounds when driving on frreway with speed between 65 and 70 mpr.
Premature wear and cupping of tires resulting in unstable dangerous tire performance and loud distracting noise apparently due to a manufacturing defect in upper control arm design.

The tpms has came on warning of a low tire. The tires were checked and none were low. This has happened a couple of times. Today while driving something punctured the side wall of the tire and it went flat the tpms did not indicate a low tire. I pulled to a safe place and changed the flat tire. The vehicle was left running and the tpms finally came on when I dropped the flat tire into the trunk. The tmps on my sons 2019 Civic has indicated a low tire a couple of different times and the tires are at correct psi.
Today, I was driving my 2019 Honda Civic sport to performance Honda in fairfield, OH for a warranty-related problem regarding tpms and a faulty tire. The biggest issue is that the front, left tire did not hold air. Every few days, I had to add air to my tires/reset the tpms system, as described by owners. Honda. Com. Within the last week, my front, left, tire lost air so quickly that I decided to take the vehicle in for service. As of today, the vehicle has 4,000. 00 miles (exact). During the trip there, the front, left tire blew out and jerked me to the left (60 mph). While easing into the brake (not pumping), I steered to the right and pulled into the shoulder lane. Upon stopping, I shifted into, "p," and then activated the parking brake. Then, I took my my foot off the brake and turned on the emergency flashers. I called aaa and got towed the rest of the way there. Tpms needs to tell the driver what the pressure is in each tire; my grandfather has a 2019 vehicle that does. At least I was not injured today!.
All 4 of my michelin tires are splitting in the sidewalls (shoulder). They have not gone flat, but I am afraid to drive at high speeds. I complained to michelin and they agreed that it was a defect, but refused to do anything about it such as contact you or announce a recall. They are "defender" tires dot apwc 113x 2312. Size 205 55 16.
I bought my car new and have had it only 3 1/2 years. My issues started with my battery failing twice within a year of each other. I had to replace all 4 tires with new ones only a year after buying it because the tires were so worn down as if they were not new to begin with. Then I had a system failure that required my car to be taken in to service for a couple days. Then more recently I had a transmission piece failure that emptied my transmission fluid to the point that I was driving on the road and my car slowly stopped moving which eventually had me stranded on the side of the road for a couple hours until I was able to get towed. Honestly one of the worst experiences in my life. I was by myself on the side of a wooded area while it was getting dark. When I had my car not start it was in a stationary potion. When my car had a weird system molt down I was driving and when the transmission started acting up I was also driving. When driving I was on a main street and had to pull over to the side of the road.
Twice while driving at 60 mph the cruise control dropped out for no reason. I have low pressure alarms for no reason. These were always while I was driving. I had 6 in may and June took it to the dealer on July 3, they could not find anything wrong. That afternoon I had the low pressure alarm come on for no reason tires at at normal pressure.
As I drove the car off the lot they tried to say it twas bad tires they replaced it when it was really the wheel bearings. And I'm in finance with no background in car mechanics and I knew there was something wrong as soon as I drove of the lot. And then they tried to say who would have known but several of my friends and mechanics said it wasn't obvious so they fixed it. I then told them beforehand I got the vehicle purchased that I required a state inspection to make sure it fell under the inspection rules of texas and they swore and signed off on paperwork that this was done on two separate work forms. Well while I was driving I was ran off the road as my horn didn't function at all after they had sworn they had done two inspections at this point and I have the paperwork to prove it. I could have lost my life in an accident if I had no drove off in the shoulder and the. I come back to the dealership and they try to say it wasn't them and that it could have stopped working on its own which I find very suspicious. They then threatened to not fix my car when I said three needed to take the car back as they are not living up to the standards set dortrh. I also had the car stereo and electronics go wild and they wouldn't stop urninf on music and turning it to max volume and it wouldn't stop til I shut the car of whic is super distracting when I'm trying to drive.

Tl the contact owns a 2017 Honda Civic. While driving approximately 65 mph, the tire pressure warning indicator illuminated. Occasionally, the tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) indicated a low tire pressure warning; however, the tire was correctly inflated. The contact stated that the front passenger tire was flat, but the warning indicator never illuminated. The vehicle was taken to o'brien Honda of bloomington (1602 general electric rd, bloomington, IL 61704, (309) 663-9591) where it was diagnosed that the tire tread depth was different on both tires, which caused the tpms to malfunction. The contact was informed to manually turn off the feature. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 09501888. The approximate failure mileage was 12,400.
Lug nuts are self loosening. I do understand that lug nuts should be checked periodically. However, with 12,000 miles I have had two tighten nuts on three occasions. In particular the right front wheel. I first noticed a clicking sound when making a turn, that clicking would go away after a mile or so then after a week or two turned into brake grinding. Went to check the brakes and discovered the tire was loose and it was the wheel rocking back and forth making the clicking sound. The caliper not being aligned with the rotor would grind until the car was driven a few blocks and the grinding would cease. I now recognize the symptoms and correct it immediately. I suspect this is not an isolated case and a definite safety hazard.
I just bought this car afew days ago and I'm already having problems with tire pressure holding. The tires are brand new issued by the Honda dealership where I bought the car. I was told by the service dept today that this is a common problem and to expect it. That is unexceptable and extremely dangerous!! I'm was reading the 2014 Honda Civic has a recap for this problem. . Why has the 2015 not been recalled? if I have an accident I will sue Honda!!!.
We purchased a 2018 Honda Civic sport hatchback in late spring of last year. While driving it in snowy conditions, it consistently collects snow and ice in the wheel wells to the point where it has actually causes damage to the inner wheel well and causes consistent rubbing and burning smells due to the ice rubbing against the tire. The response from the dealership (garber Honda in rochester) and the auto manufacturer (american Honda finance company) is that this is due to outside influences and is therefore not covered by them. The issue in question is regarding the material design and the inability to actually drive this vehicle in inclement weather conditions in western new york. The inner wheel well is made of some textured, almost cloth like material that allows for snow and ice to stick and build up very quickly. After driving just a few miles in snowy condition, we need to pull over to try and knock some of the snow off so that it doesn't rub against the tire. The collection of ice and now has actually ripped off the inner wheel well on one side and is starting to affect the other side. I feel that this could be a potential issue to anyone driving in snow. While driving under these condition, my concern is for the drivers of this vehicle and others on the road because of the negative way that it affects the handling of the vehicle. I have sought out advice from both the dealership and Honda regarding adding different rims and tires, but they have come back and said that it would not affect it much and that it was an environment issue. The dealership mentioned that they have many people coming in with the same issue and charges them each and every time to have this resolved. I do have a small video that shows exactly what this is doing to the vehicle. Is there a location where I can upload this? I have uploaded a picture.
Tire blow out causing car to go over curb. Loss of left two tires front and back and right front tire. Was merging from one highway to another. Tires were continental procontact 215 /50.
Took vehicle in because wheel bearings were making noise - was told it was the rear wheel bearings - there is a recall for these - they refused to replace the bearings because another shop had previously replaced the front ones - which has nothing to do with the rear bearings.
The tpms ligh does not turn off after checking it. I have 5 recalls for airbag at the passenger seat that I did not know of.
With only 18,461 miles on my tires, and still 6/32 as of very recent Honda service visit my rear drivers tire blew out while driving on the freeway going 72mph. I very loud pop, no tire indicator displayed and the tire had discenegrated. Very scary! this should not have happened, even according to my last tire inspection.
Tpms light will not reset if all four tires are not the same brand. Tire pressures have been normal. Multiple repairs have been made with no avail. The tmps sensor light is able to be temporarily reset, but goes off again after driving for a brief time. Only way to fix it per two separate Honda dealerships is to get all four new tires. The safety and warning light is annoying and distracting. It also makes passengers in the vehicle feel weary of the car's safety which makes the vehicle difficult to use to transport business partners, etc.
