Gasoline Fuel System problem #1

I was driving my 2005 Honda crv on the freeway when the engine suddenly began to race and the car began to accelerate rapidly. I couldn't feel the gas pedal with my foot. I was able to put the car in neutral, pull off on the shoulder, and turn off the ignition, stopping the engine. I moved the driver's seat backward, got down on the floor to look, and discovered that the factory-equipped floor mat had shifted so it covered the gas pedal. I removed the floor mat, re-started the car, and the problem was gone. But if this problem starts cropping up with other '05 crvs, it is an accident waiting to happen.

Fuel Pump problem #2

Honda Cr-v, 8,000 miles, year 2005, engine stalled , loss of power steering and brakes, restarted ok, dealer checked out car and could not find problem. Occurred in city driving at 25 miles per hour.
