1 Brake Sensor problem

Failure Date: 11/07/2016

Driving at 65 mph on freeway and front wheels began to shimmy and vehicle slow down. Stepped harder on the accelerator and managed to get to the shoulder. Then managed to get the car up an exit ramp at which point the brakes locked up and car wouldn't move. Hauled the car to a dealer who said the brakes were "contaminated" and all parts need to be replaced, including the abs module for $6,300. An independent auto repair indicated there was a firmware problem with the abs module and readouts for the front wheel sensors(obd scanner). Independant repair shops say the dealer is the only one who has the equipment to deal with the abs system.
