The passenger airbag light stays on after the car is started and in motion. Regardless if there is a passenger seated or not. 6 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/06/2018

Recently on the visit to Honda dealer for air bag recall replacement the service advisor told me that my rack and pinon steering on the vehicle was leaking. I was surprised as the vehicle has been well maintained and not abused. It also has less than 98k on it. A search online shows that numerous other Honda 2008 Cr-v owners have noted a similar problem and this seems to be a common occurrence on this model which I believe warrants a recall for Honda to repair at their expense. Failure of this part would lead to sudden loss of steering and I feel this is a safety issue. Complaints by other 2008 Honda crv owners regarding this issue can be found at is this issue being escalated to a recall? steering failure should be considered a safety issue of the highest priority. Quote was $1,600.
