Takata recall---I have been waiting for well over 2 months for the part to come to remind the recall.

37 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 08/03/2016

I received a recall notice NHTSA recall 16v-346 dated July 2016. I called Honda on July 28 to get a loaner car. Today, August 3, I called again and was told only a case manager could authorize a loaner. I asked why I hadn't heard from the so-called case manager. When I was given the bureaucratic run around, I asked for the number of the department where the case managers were located. I was told that the department at 888-234-2138 had no way of contacting the case managers in chino, CA, except by an internal software process. They had no phone number. I have been driving a defective produce since 2010 and I have to wait for a case manager for an indeterminate length of time in order to get a loaner car. Meanwhile, everyday that passes, Honda is saving the cost of a rental car. I believe that Honda is dragging its feet, in order to outwait customers and save on rental cars. They should be fined for their duplicity. On anther matter, I called NHTSA 800-424-9153, today. The phone rang about twenty times and I was told to call back. Your system needs attention, too.

Plaza automall took info from my car for takata recall on July 28, 2016 and assigned tag # 927. They told me the parts for the repair would be available in 3 months. They hinted that a loaner car would be available but did not offer it. Since this is a life-threatening defect I am disappointed and concerned. They and Honda have been very unresponsive.

40 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 07/27/2016

Takata recall. I'm extremely concerned that my family's safety isn't made more of a priority in this recall. I'm told to avoid having someone ride in my passenger seat until the repair is made, which isn't even possible until late summer or early fall 2016. I need to haul family in my car on a daily basis. They've known about this problem for months and months and yet we're the ones forced to take a risk with the lives of our family members because of manufacturing delays or some such excuse. Unpardonable!.

46 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 07/22/2016

I purchased this car on 3/26/10 based upon performance ratings boasted by Honda. There have been manufacturers defects from the start. Currently about 118,000 miles. Early on I started hearing pinging sounds under the hood. Honda dealer said I was low on oil, put a quart in, and the sound stopped. He advised to put oil in whenever the sound occurred. This was before my first oil change. I continued to add oil as the sound re-occurred, 2-4 quarts between oil changes. I repeatedly questioned the consumption but no malfunction was found. July of 2011 Honda acknowledged the problem with (TSB#11-033). In November 2011, the dealer did an oil consumption software update. At this time there was no recall. The continual cost for synthetic oil remained and the oil light never came on. An oil consumption recall issued in 2015. The car failed the oil test Honda did required service as per recall protocol. The tech indicated the catalytic converter needs to be replaced but was out of warranty. Honda agreed to pay 50% of the cc repair. I declined since I have no money for this due to unemployment, nor should I put one cent into a car that has been defective from the start. My car was also recalled for takata airbags. Honda provided a rental car for 2. 5 months. I picked up the car and now the engine light is on, brakes malfunctioning and compromised cc. It is not safe to drive. I have been driving a car with a substantial defect from the day one. I have spent countless dollars on oil. There have been two recalls. The car is no longer safe or dependable due to cc and brakes. I am concerned about engine longevity. I will never be able to drive this vehicle without being fearful. I feel it is Honda¿s responsibility to make me whole and provide the type of vehicle I signed up for. Please advise next steps to bring about a resolution in the immediate future.

Takata recall I am beyond scared to drive my car. I travel on the PA turnpike everyday to and from work. The part is still not available to replace my airbag. I am demanding a rental vehicle until my car is safe to drive. There was just another incident where someone was killed because of the defective airbag. Providing me notification of the recall will not save my life. The airbag must be replaced immediately. Other manufacturers have been able to replace their defective airbags. What is taking Honda so long. I can't continue to live in distress thinking what is going to happen to me every time I drive my car.
