My 2014 Honda crv with 75,000 miles is in need of a drive shaft. I cannot find a recall on this. Honda is doing nothing about it. My mechanic was informed that there has been trouble with this part on other 2014 models. As a matter of fact the part was backordered! it seems absurd to me that this should happen in 75,000 miles. Can you help me? as you know this will cost me between $2500. 00-$3000. 00!!! of course I will not purchase another Honda vehicle since the customer does not seem to matter to that company]!.
Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that there had been a strong vibration felt when the vehicle was in motion at a high rate of speed. The dealer had diagnosed that the drive shaft/propeller and rear axle mount needed to be replaced. Schomp Honda, 1003 plum valley ln, highlands ranch, CO, 1-(303) 798-1500 diagnosed the vehicle and the contact was waiting to determine if the guidelines for the repair had pertaining to TSB 15-076 and to verify if there was a service bulletin to provide guidelines for the dealers repair. The vehicle was not repaired yet. The manufacturer was notified of the failure to determine the guidelines for the dealers repair. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was not available. Dyd.
Previous submission ntsb number: 10670827. Purchased new 2014 Honda Cr-v ex-l from sheehy Honda, richmond highway, alexandria virginia. Vehicle was returned three times for significant vibrations throughout the vehicle when at highway speeds. Sheehy failed to correct the problem, I notified Honda corporate, who transferred my case(number: n01205010900367) to pohanka Honda, capital heights maryland. Pohanka researched the problem and identified the drive shaft as the problem (part number 2191a8 - propeller shaft). Drive shaft was replaced 21 January 2015. Problem has subsided but continues at a lower threshold.
2014 crv awd ex with 700 miles vibration in steering wheel and thrumming noise between 50 and 70 mph. Dealership put over 100 miles on vehicle for testing. Drive shaft replaced and still vibrates. Dealership removed drive shaft and no vibration. Was told only 2 crvs in the state have vibration problems. Tpms lights came on 5 times with no explanation from dealership. Sensors checked. Fan motor made low, loud growling noise when turned on in 15 degree temperature. Was told that is normal. Ran through car wash with sun shade open and glass panel closed. Water dripped in. Told it was normal.
