36 Blind Spot Detection problem of the 2018 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 01/11/2022

I was driving through a green light at 40mph with no vehicles in front of me or next to me and in the middle of the intersection, my dash flashed with the warning to "brake" as it "detected" something in front of me. Within less than 2 seconds my vehicle lurched to a complete stop with the brakes totally locking up the vehicle. The brakes thudded to stop my vehicle entirely in the middle of the intersection. Within a couple more seconds the vehicle was totally fine and let me proceed. I was lucky I wasn't rear-ended and I'm very glad the light wasn't red by the time I was able to go through it. I was carrying my entire family in the car and everyone was so worried about riding with me that I automatically pulled over and disabled the automatic emergency braking system altogether. I've not turned it back on for fear of the vehicle getting me into an accident. I have also received blind spot warnings with nothing in my blind spots. Most specifically, I was in the right hand lane and put on my turn signal to switch into the left hand lane, and my car audibly beeped and flashed its lights. There was not a vehicle or even a barrier to my left that it could have sensed. The sensor just totally gave out. It's at the point where I do not trust anything about the car. I won't even use cruise control because I don't trust that the car's "safety features" are actually safe enough to protect me. I have not had the vehicle inspected due to the fact that this seems to be an issue with other vehicles and I can't afford a mechanic to tell me there is nothing that they can do.

39 Blind Spot Detection problem of the 2019 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 11/28/2021

During driving, all warning lights flashed on the dashboard suddenly. Reverse car caused it to have lost power, stall. Regular maintained with low mileage. Dealer rest something but did not explain what were the exact causes. I am afraid it would happen again to cause dangers.

While driving the error warnings lit up the dashboard display to include brakes, power steering, and other sensors. 41 Blind Spot Detection problem of the 2018 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 10/20/2021

Believe fuel mixing with oil. Information center on car keeps rolling thru system saying things aren't working. Happened initially spring 2021 and again now oct 20 2021. Changed oil and problem went away. Initially took it to a shop for service and had code which I believe was p37 but going on memory. Took to dealer and since service had already done oil change dealer could not find problem. Happened again today oct 20 2021. At dealer now and did not turn car off so they can see code.

42 Blind Spot Detection problem of the 2021 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 06/11/2021

On more than one occasion while driving the touch screen went black couldn’t access my navigation nothing couldn’t get the screen to turn on it wouldn’t do anything. Then it will tell me connect device when my phone is plugged in I’ve changed the cords replaced them with generic apple cords nothing bought apple cord and still nothing, apple car play doesn’t connect says you need to unplug device for car play to work nothing. The sensors are not working like they should there will be nothing around the car will alarm brake then it will automatically brake. I should not have to at to replace the touch screen in my vehicle it’s under warranty well under the miles as well. I work at a car dealership and the touch screen issue is a big problem I get several complaints about the touch screens not working.

43 Blind Spot Detection problem of the 2019 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/01/2021

In car mounted screen for radio etc randomly changes while driving. From brightness off and on and darker to volume changing on its own. Only way to stop it (sometimes) is to turn off and turn back on the vehicle. Blind spot sensors also go out randomly sometimes because of weather other times (rarely, but still happened) randomly while driving.

44 Blind Spot Detection problem of the 2017 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 02/27/2021

For the past few months all of my warning lights come on. They will go off at times, other times I have to pull over to restart my car. In addition, my display will go dim or get very bright on it's own. On February 27, 2021 my alarm started to go off for no reason. They car was parked in my driveway and no one was near the remote. I could not get the alarm to go off, no matter what I did. On Monday, March 1st I went to start my car and it would not start or respond to anything with the remote. I contacted the dealership, valley Honda in monroeville, PA. They stated that it could be the battery having low voltage. The dealership is over 45 minutes away and I needed a vehicle to help care for my ill father so I purchased a new battery and installed it late Monday night. As soon as I started the vehicle all of the dashboards lights started flashing and the alarm would randomly go off. This continued until I could get it to the dealership on weds night. They diagnosed it as a body control module. My car is only 4 years old with 50k mileage but the Honda warranty is out. I even called Honda who only offered a courtesy partial payment, as long as I did not pick up my vehicle until they finished their investigation. There is absolutely no reason for my display to have been acting up or a need to replace a bcm with a vehicle that is only 4 years old!.

Battery will be dead if car not used every 2 days. 4 times I have had the dealer replace my battery and 1 time myself. Dealer refuses to solve the problem. A vehicle''s battery should not go dead after only 4 days of use. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.
