Warnings Problems of Honda HR-V

My car was impacted by the exact issue impacting Honda hrv's manufactured in 2022, but my VIN does not show that I am eligible. This is a mistake and I would ask NHTSA to investigate other 2022 hrvs which may be impacted by this recall (information posted below). Summary american Honda motor CO. , inc. (Honda) is recalling certain 2019-2022 model year Hr-v vehicles. The power circuit in the display audio unit was improperly designed. When the engine is started with an ignition key, the cranking can cause the battery's state of charge to drop, which may prevent the display audio from booting up, resulting in the failure to display the rearview camera image. Additionally, vehicles previously repaired with the initial software update received a version that insufficiently corrected the display audio unit boot up procedure, resulting in the failure to display the rearview camera image. Safety risk if the display audio unit does not boot up, the rearview camera image will not display, which may affect the driver's view and increase the risk of a crash or injury. Remedy registered owners of all affected vehicles (including previously repaired vehicles) will be contacted by mail and asked to take their vehicle to an authorized Honda dealer. The dealer will reprogram the display audio unit with updated software containing the proper boot up procedure. Owners who have paid to have these repairs completed at their own expense may be eligible for reimbursement, in accord with the recall reimbursement plan on file with NHTSA. I made an appointment with garden state Honda of passaic, NJ located (225 river drive passaic, NJ 07055) after waiting months for an appt. Finally took my car today 01/20/2025 and when at the counter rep named chelsea state that their Honda dealer could not honor nor repair my car due to how I purchased the car in an action. . My understanding is even though I purchase a salvaged vehicle the issue is with a recall part from Honda not the car. . Now my vehicle has been parked for months waiting for this appt. Has too many lights due to this fuel pump recall and I cant even get my inspection sticker since its now expired with NJ due to the many lights the car has on. I need some help and guidance as to what can be done.

I turned the corner into a parking space at a local business. When I was turning into the parking space, my foot was hovering over the left floor peddle (the break). All of a sudden, the vehicle lunged forward while my foot was still hovering over the break. During the incident, my foot did not touch the gas pedal when the car was accelerating towards the store window. I quickly firmly stepped on the brake when the car began to accelerate. The car went over the concrete parking stop, onto the sidewalk, crashing into the windows of the establishment. I nor any of the other patrons of the establishment were injured. Also to be noted, neither the forward collision, parking collision or automatic emergency breaking took effect. Police arrived on scene. A report was made. After the incident, the vehicle was towed away to a local Honda dealer in order for the vehicle to be assessed.

This accident took place on April 19, 2022 - - ten days after I took possession of my new 2022 Honda Hr-v sport from the dealership - - sudden unintended acceleration. The facts are I came home on April 19, 2022. I drove slowly up the driveway. I stopped. I inched forward. I stepped lightly on the gas pedal. Then the vehicle suddenly accelerated without warning at high speed. The hard-hitting impact resulted in damage to the front of my vehicle. The building supplies on the driveway took the full impact of the accident. Otherwise, the vehicle could have crashed through the garage door and hit another vehicle - -likely resulting in serious injuries or death to myself and extensive property damage. American Honda denied my claim to replace ecu and repair body damage to the vehicle after examination.
