Two problems related to transmission not go into gear have been reported for the 1999 Honda Odyssey. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I own a 1999 Honda Odyssey with 120,000 miles. I received a recall notice when the vehicle had 75,000 miles about replacing the transmission. At the time, the vehicle had no transmission problems. Right now the vehicle is completely disabled in front of my house. The shifter moves into the drive position, but will not move in any gear. Not even reverse. I spoke with the local dealer, Honda of annapolis, who stated that the vehicle was over the warranty and I would have to pay $3500. 00 for a re-manufactured transmission. I spoke to a local aamco shop who reported to me that they had replaced no less than 6 transmissions for the 1999-2002 model Honda Odyssey. Clearly there is a problem. I received no warning from the vehicle of a problem. I just got in it one morning and it would not move. Now I wish I hadn't had the recall done. The original transmission worked just fine. Please help.

I pray that they are safe every day leave in that 5 star awarded death trap.
