1 Loud Engine Noise problem

Failure Date: 03/25/2024

On March 25th 2024 I purchased a 2006 Honda Odyssey from dfw cash cars llc 325 n riverside drive fort worth texas and the dealer gdn is p167677 the VIN number for the vehicle is 5fnrl38746b109993 when I bought the vehicle I noticed it was making a noise from the engine so I took it back to them and they said even with the warranty I don't know for sure if there was a warranty but they informed me that there was nothing that they could do because the car is already in my name the second day I called them text him and go back up there because now my engine was spitting out thick white smoke from under the hood only when I was idling then a week later I parked my vehicle at the store try to leave the store and it took me 2 hours because my gear shift would not come out of park we have also replaced the brake switch multiple times and now it feels like the brakes are completely going out the trunk never opened the handle is not even intact so then for the past month or so the vehicle starts making these loud roaring mumbling sounds like a lawn mower it will not accelerate whatsoever by the time I get through the intersection I have to hope not to get hit by other cars because the light has already changed now along with all of those issues all of a sudden I hear a wiring crackle pop kind of sound so I thought it was a tire no that is also coming from the engine and it's even louder like a horrible motorboat lawn mower motorcycle all in one and when I put the vehicle in park it gets more intense and louder and the needle in the in-dash located in the instrument cluster the one on the left moves up as if I am accelerating and the roaring sounds get louder like the entire engine is about to blow up or the car is about to explode or quit I am a single mom of five children I have not had any transportation in a year I just had a baby on April the 11th I walked my entire pregnancy until I got this vehicle and I've only had it for a few months and it is a total wreck a lemon.

Engine started chugging and lost power, sputtering. Then died and couldn't restart. Was towed to local mechanic who could not diagnosis. Towed to closest Honda dealer, 3 hours away. #5 coil damaged due to spark plug blown out of cylinder head, threads damaged in cylinder head. 5 Loud Engine Noise problem

Failure Date: 09/06/2013

Driving at 50 mph on a Friday night. My van suddenly gave a loud explosive sound and the cabin filled up with smoke and I could not breathe or see properly. I wondered what was going on and quickly pulled up on the side of the road. It took me some time to get out of the van since I am disabled. My husband had to literally speaking, carry me out and sat me on the side of the road. Passers by had already called 911 when they noticed what was going on. The police, ambulance and fire dept came. The fire dept determined that my van was smoking heavily and they took care of the fire in my engine when they opened the hood. The van was towed to the dealership and they informed me that my transmission was defective. The only problem was that this will then be the third transmission in a van that is less than 8 years old. I had a similar problem in July 2011 at 80,000 miles and the transmission was replaced then with promises from Honda that I was good for another 5 years. So when this problem occurred exactly 2 years to the time that the second transmission was replaced, I reported the problem to Honda and they want me to pay for a third transmission. This is despite the fact that I always serviced my van with the dealership. It has never been serviced with the local repair shop. I am still making car payments on my van and they want me to pay for a new transmission? I will appreciate an investigation on why Honda is allowed to sell lemons to consumers even though they are aware of transmission problems on the Odyssey vans. Smoke and fire due to recurring transmission problems on the same van is a safety issue. I pray that no one will be killed or injured due to recurring transmission problems with Honda Odyssey vans. Thanks in advance for your assistance in protecting and ensuring consumer safety as we drive our cars.

6 Loud Engine Noise problem

Failure Date: 09/03/2012

Loud noise from engine compartment during a turn. Repair shop said the passenger side engine mount has nearly failed and the others will need to be replaced soon. It makes no sense for such a part to fail at 65k miles - this issue should be grounds for a recall.

7 Loud Engine Noise problem

Failure Date: 05/25/2012

I am the original owner of this 2006 Honda Odyssey. The rear and side engine mounts have failed, at 72,000 miles. This is a manufacturer's defect. The engine mounts should not fail at this mileage. I had noticed a rumbling noise at lower speeds when the engine was running in eco mode, and it appears that this noise was a result of the failure of the engine mounts. It is a defect that if not repaired would result in the engine falling out of the vehicle, clearly a defect. Honda needs to take action to replace the faulty engine mounts and correct this defect in design in future models.

8 Loud Engine Noise problem

Failure Date: 09/08/2011

Engine ot this vehicle always made jet engine like loud sound but with time engine roar is getting louder and louder at highway speed above 65 mph. It is now annoyinging loud. Dealer wants $140 for telling us if this noise for this vehicle is normal or our particular vehicle is the only louder one.
