Failure Date: 05/08/2021

Unknown.

2 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 03/04/2020

2010 Odyssey w/ about 159k miles. Engine started misfiring. There was a recall on this, but Honda is saying it expired, and I am not eligible for cost coverage, and the repairs only have a 50% chance of fixing the issue. I bought the car used in 2016, and they say the recall expired after make year. I was driving my car to work and it lost the ability to accelerate and white smoke was coming out exhaust. And the belt snapped and it has been parked since early February.

3 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 12/19/2015

Occasionally as I come to a stop (apply the breaks, the engine would surge up to 5,000 rpm), the vehicle would lurch forward until the I applied additional pressure to the breaks. The engine would shift down to the idle configuration. . I have had this problem since I bought the car in 2011 for maintenance they were unable to replicate the problem. They said that without the replication they cannot fix it. This problem caused 2 minor accidents and I am afraid that something more serious may occur.

4 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 08/05/2013

Was driving at highway speed when engine encountered a severe rough idles and lost power. Check engine light started flashing and vehicle stability & traction control failure lights also illuminated. Honda dealer proximate to incident diagnosed as fouled spark plug related to cylinder deactivation system in car. Internet research indicates that this is a known and common occurance with Honda cars having a v6 engine with cylinder deactivation.

5 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 02/10/2013

Our 2010 Honday Odyssey has rolled backward while the transmission was in "park" twice. The first time we thought it was a fluke as it rolled 'only' about 18 inches. The second time the van was again in "park", and the keys were out of the ignition, a few hours later a neighbor came to inform us that the van had rolled into the street/alley which is approximately 7 feet from the original parking spot. The van is parked in an almost flat location, the "incline" of the driveway is standard rain run-off grade so less than 2% approximately.

6 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/09/2012

The contact owns a 2010 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph with the cruise control activated, the vehicle lost acceleration as the engine warning light illuminated. The failure occurred on two occasions. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing, who stated that the third cylinder had misfired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

7 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 12/30/2011

When approaching a 4 way intersection. I was decelerating when the engine/transmission/brakes seemed to lock causing the vehicle to come to a very abrupt stop. Since this time the vehicle has exhibited an issue (3 times) under acceleration where the engine will rev and slam into the next gear. We also are having an issue with vibration when driving the vehicle. It is most significant between 50-60 mph.
