general problems of the 2018 Honda Odyssey

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the driver's side sliding door failed to close or latch as designed. The contact stated the vehicle was driven for an hour and a half with the driver's side sliding door open. The contact stated that it was unsafe because the contact's small children were seated in the rear of the vehicle during the failure. The contact changed the fuses; however, the fuses were operable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 18v795000 (latches/ locks/linkages); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000.
