The contact owns a 2019 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while driving at 41 mph, the vehicle unexpectedly shifted into neutral (n) and failed to shift into any other gear. The vehicle was pulled over to the shoulder of the road, where it required to be restarted before shifting into park (p). The contact also stated that on multiple occasions while driving uphill and downhill, the transmission attempted to shift into park (p), and a grinding sound was heard coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but no diagnostic trouble code was found. The manufacturer was notified of the failure by telephone, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 94,046.
