Turned on the car the other day and several warnings displayed on the odometer. Adaptive cruise control problem lake keeping assist problem collision mitigation problem road departure mitigation system problem auto high-beam problem other than cruise controls not working, the car works fine. I took it to the dealer, and they said the camera module behind the rear view mirror needs to be replaced. Technician claimed that because my cruise control button was left on, it kept the camera running, and basically overheated the camera to a fault. He mentioned recommending to router owners that they only turn on the cruise control button when they plan to use it, and to leave it off if not. I asked if turning the cruise control button when not in use was referenced in the owner’s manual, but he was unsure. I would have to double check, but I don’t believe that warning is there.

When I start the vehicle, I consistently get warnings for acc problem, lake keep assist problem, collision mitigation problem, road departure mitigation problem, and auto high beam problem. This occurs every time I have driven the vehicle for the past week. From cursory research, this issue commonly appears to be related to a failure of the camera module located next to the rearview mirror.
Multipurpose front windshield camera stops working and many safety features are affected by this camera. Lane departure warning is not working, lane keeping assistance not working, blind spot warning not working, brake system warnings. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership and they confirm that the cause of all this problems is the multipurpose front windshield camera. There was no warnings at all when this happens.

Multipurpose camera is defective. The camera is available for inspection upon request. A number of safety features do not work when this camera is not operational, including forward collision warning and lane departure warning. Honda dealership performed a diagnostic and confirmed it needs to be replaced. No other parties have inspected the camera. There were no warning messages prior to the camera failing, only after it had failed. This appears to be a common issue affecting many owners of this vehicle.
Suddenly the van gave me 5 different warnings as below. 1. Adaptive cruise control problem. 2. Lane keep asist problem 3. Collision mitigation system problem 4. Road departure mitigation system problem 5. Auto high-beam problem on top of these, 'brake system' light also turned on.

I was driving the van and all this warnings came on my dashboard. Acc adaptive cruis control problem, lane keeping assist problem, collision mittigation problem. Road departure mittigation problem. All they come one after eachother on my dashboard. I did some research and a lot of vans 2019 have the sa e issues. My friend van same problem she payed 1900 to replace the camera. This is a safety issue and it cost a lot to replace. It cannot be deactivated. I hope it will be a recall issued for this model. I have 3 minivans Honda. I never had an issue with thjs brand . The new one is terrible. . . . Thank you.
The forward camera on this vehicle fails and you lose all your adaptive cruise control, regular cruise control, lane assist, emergency breaking, and adaptive high beams. This is the second failure of the camera since I have owned the vehicle 1. 5 years and 30000 miles.
I have an intermittent set of warnings on Honda Odyssey 2018 "lane keeping assist problem" "adaptive cruise control problem" "collision mitigation system problem" "road departure mitigation system problem" all at the same time will appear on the dashboard. I had brought it up to the dealership when under warranty and they were unable to resolve it. It comes and goes at random.
All the safety systems randomly disable themselves while driving and throw this code. Next time the vehicle starts, sometimes they are gone, then come back while driving, other times they are there from the start. U0104(00) [0xc10400] data bus, cruise control module - no communication.
Starting at 50,000, I began receiving six different warning signs every time I turn on my car: (1) collision mitigation problem, (2) auto high beam warning, (3) lane keeping assist problem, (4) road departure mitigation problem, (5) adaptive cruise control problem, and (6) brake system light stays on. Online forums show this is a pervasive problem with 2020-2021 Odysseys at around 50,000 miles. Took it dealer for diagnostic, paid $229, and told me it would cost $2,000+ to fix.
The multi-purpose camera/millimeter wave radar has been diagnosed by a certified Honda service center as having an internal failure, disabling all advanced driver assistance systems from operating as designed. These systems include: adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, collision mitigation braking, lane keep assist, road departure mitigation, automatic high beam. The failure of these safety systems has increased the risk of crash and injury to the vehicle occupants.
Warnings displayed: 1. Auto high-beam problem 2. Adaptive cruise control (acc) problem 3. Lane keeping assist system (lkas) problem 4. Collision mitigation system problem 5. Road departure mitigation system problem 6. Brake system warning (red brake light illuminated) dealer diagnostic: multipurpose camera malfunctioning. Costs $2218 to replace. This should be a manufacturer recall.
Turned on the car. It was parked for 1 day after the last driving event with no issues. Today was 15 degrees hotter than yesterday. The following errors popped up on the dashboard: adaptive cruise control problem collision mitigation system problem lane keeping assist problem road departure mitigation system problem auto high beam problem all of the advanced safety features which utilize the front camera and sensors are deactivated. Car was turned off and restarted multiple times, windshield cleaned, and car cooled down, but the warnings remain each time. This specific issue has happened 5 times over the past year. The dealer was never able to replicate the issue as it would go away as soon as the car was restarted. This time, the warning lights would not go away.
Driving on the freeway my lane keeping assistance, automatic emergency breaking, and adaptive cruise control warnings were flashing. The prompts keep my focus off the road as the beeps and flashing orange lights cannot be disabled. During my drive, the multicamera on the windshield seems to be malfunctions and often I would get a signal of on coming traffic and my steering wheel would vibrate to prompt me to move. This can be extremely terrifying and sometimes caused me to swerve, potentially hitting other cars. The multicamera needs to be recalled and fixed.
Front camera stopped working, which appears to be a common problem for Honda, and deactivated all safety features that rely on camera.
Multiple warning lights: 1. Acc- adaptive cruise control 2. Lkas- lane keeping assist problem 3. Collision mitigation system problem 4. Road departure mitigation system problem 5. Auto high beam problem safety issues: with almost all of these not working the risk of avoiding a possible accident is greatly increased. An independent service center read errors for the can. No prior warnings, they just came up. I have replaced the battery and the issues were not resolved. An inspection is possible.
Took the van to the dealership to fix a recall for the fuel pump. A few days later, error messages popped up saying there are problems with the adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation system, lane keep assist system, and brake system, among others. I test drove it from arcadia to pasadena on both the freeway and the sidestreets without any problems. We took it back to the dealership who assessed it and told us that the multipurpose camera was bad. It would cost us $2100 to get it fixed. We refused. No one was hurt, however, the dealership told me that there is a safety risk to my family if I did not repair it. Attached is the invoice for the last visit during which the dealership gave us the estimate for replacing the multipurpose camera.
Got my windshield replaced. Was recalibrated. Within 3 months, 5 dash lights come on. 1. Adaptive cruise control problem 2. Lane keep assist problem 3. Collision mitigation system problem 4. Road departure mitigation system problem 5. Auto high-beam problem and the brake system light is on. I was told it wasn’t the new windshield and that recalibration wouldn’t fix the problem. The code that won’t clear is u3000-49.
Forward multi purpose camera failed and cause the rest of the advance driver assist systems to malfunction.
We have 2020 Honda Odyssey with 4500 miles and multi purpose camera quit working and Honda service center ran a scan and confirmed malfunction of camera and replacement costed over $1600. Internet tells me that many other similar vehicle have similar issue. It should be a recall and fixed free.
The adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and road departure system randomly fails and does not work.
Out of nowhere I got a bunch of errors involving the addaptive cruise, lane keep assist, auto highbeams, collision avoidance, and the brake system light came on. The van has under 40k miles on it. From a quick search I can see that this is a very common issue.
Adas system failure. An audible alert would sound and the following problems would scroll across dash display: auto high-beam problem; adaptive cruise control problem; lane keeping assist problem; collision mitigation system problem; road departure mitigation system problem. Also, "brake system' illuminated in red near bottom of display. Diagnostic at Honda dealer indicated, "u3000-49 multipurpose camera unit internal electronic failure". To repair, the quote for the unit itself was $1201. 34 plus tax. Calibration was an additional $660. 00. I found the unit online at a better price and so purchased it and had the dealer install. My total cost for the unit and installation/calibration was $1. 496. 74. Even though it is a 2018 model I would have expected this camera unit to last much longer. It's an expensive part! my hope would be for Honda to issue an extended warranty and I'd be eligible for compensation on this repair. If needed I can provide paperwork. Please advise. Thank you.
Lkas, acc, collision avoidance, auto high beam problem - all these dash lights come on due to unknown reasons. Dealership blames the windshield camera but even when replaced same issue happens. This is a major safety concern and is a frequent issue amongst 2018- 2025 Honda Odyssey owners. It’s possible that the issue is electrical canbus issue. Please help.
8/10 times when turning on and driving the vehicle, an error pops up on the dash indicating the lkas and acc no longer work. Dealer found the code was u3000-49, they could not get it to clear. Sometimes the car will start without the problem, but then at some point through the drive it will occur and lkas and cruise control will no longer be avaliable.
Recently, my 2020 Honda Odyssey required a new battery replacement. Shortly after the battery was replaced, the front camera system failed unexpectedly. This failure has caused a complete loss of all safety features dependent on the front camera, including but not limited lane keep assist system (lkas) collision mitigation braking system (cmbs) adaptive cruise control (acc) road departure mitigation system (rdm) a diagnostic assessment revealed that the front camera system needs replacement with an estimated cost of $1,200. This issue arose without any previous physical damage to the camera or windshield and appears to be electronic or firmware related. According to Honda, this happens frequently when a battery is replaced. Context of vehicle history: this vehicle has already been subject to 11+ recalls, which have affected various major systems and components. The accumulation of defects and the continuing need for critical system repairs is deeply concerning, particularly for a relatively recent model known for its family-oriented safety features. Owner’s statement: given the number of recalls and now a costly camera system failure that directly affects key safety functions, I find this situation unacceptable for a vehicle of this age and mileage (72,000). The loss of these features significantly compromises driver and passenger safety. I believe this issue may be part of a broader reliability concern and request that Honda (or the responsible service entity) address this matter urgently and consider full or partial financial assistance for the repair.
Lkas, acc, collision avoidance, road departure, auto high beam problem, and brake system - all these dash lights come on due to unknown reasons. New battery and terminal connections have good contact. Four safety features are now inoperative and no cruise control.
Monocular camera failure. Diagnosed by Honda dealership. Safety risk because the adaptive cruise control, auto high beam, road departure mitigation system and collision mitigation system no longer work properly. The warning lamps are continuously on the car, reporting this problem as well.
The multipurpose camera on the windshield needs to be recalibrated and I've been told by dealerships that this is a common problem with 2018 Honda Odyssey. Unless I pay over $2000 to have the camera recalibrated, systems including the antilock brake system do not work.
Multiple warnings regarding adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and lane departure warning problems. Honda says it is the front multi-camera. The vehicle works fine intermittently, but doesn’t more often than not. Issue started to occur shortly after a wiring harness recall.
Out of nowhere I received 5 warnings regarding adaptive cruise control, collusion mitigation, lane keep assistant, automatic high beam. . . Etc failure. Upon restarting the car, the warnings would clear itself on occasion but would reappear on following start up.
All of my assist lights just came. On one after another saying there was a malfunction with the emmision light continues to go. On go. Off even after I paid 580 to have the car serviced for the assist lights. Now the lift gate stopped working three weeks ago yesterday with all the rain that poured now the lift gate is open and will. Not latch.

The front camera has failed resulting in safety concerns including braking system and cruise control failure. This is a known issue with many new Honda Odysseys and needs to be recalled as it is not safe to drive as it disables all Honda sensing and auto braking components on the vehicle.
This is my second 2019 Honda Odyssey that has multipurpose camera unit internal electronic failure(error code u3000-49). Failed camera causing the whole adas system to stop functioning. This part shouldn't fail in 6 year old 50000 miles car. I will also report on my second Honda Odyssey which I had the same issue last year.
2018 Odyssey elite with 43k miles. Apparently, the front facing camera failed and if the camera fails -- which seems to have been reported by many other owners -- it's about a $1700 fix from a dealer. Not only should the camera not fail, but this is happening to cars that are low miles, low use, and the failure affects all camera-related safety features of the vehicle: lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, parking collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.
