All of these lights came on at the same time then a transmission problem light came on. Was told by a mechanic that Honda has an issue with a lot of these because of where it sits directly in the sun. All of these problems seem to be connected.

I purchased my 2020 Honda Odyssey brand new in California. On 6/27/2026 upon starting the vehicle up in the morning there was a myriad of warning messages that came up on the cluster for the first time out of the blue. The battery was replaced a few months ago with a new one and no mil lights were illuminated prior to this morning. Now an amber brake system tell tail symbol is illuminated on the cluster. 1: adaptive c. C. Problem 2: auto high beam problem 3: collision mitigation braking system problem 4: lane keep assist problem 5: road depature mitigation problem the vehicle still is able to run and drive, but none of these standard vehicle safety features are working as expected. I can't even apply cruise control now. On each key cycle the error messages come back up, and when driving they also stay in the center of the cluster and make annoying dinging sounds. I disconnected the battery ground cable from the chassis for 15 min and reconnected, but the errors come back on instantly once the van is started up. With my obd scanner, there is a code being set u0104-00. I have not paid yet to have the van inspected formally by the dealer.

The front-facing Honda sensing camera in my 2020 Honda Odyssey overheated in a 90deg climate. This triggered multiple dashboard warning lights: adaptive cruise control (acc) problem, lane keeping assist system (lkas) problem, road departure mitigation (rdm) system problem, collision mitigation braking system (cmbs) problem, brake system problem, and auto high-beam problem. The Honda dealership quoted me $1850 to fix it and they said it was a well-known error. There were no issues with my car prior to this problem. I keep up with all routine maintenance, oil changes, timing belt and water pump replacements, etc. Not only are these safety features inoperable, but these warning lights are very distracting to the driver, but worse than that- I would be unaware of other system failures since I have so many warnings displayed.

Front camera default and required replacement totaling $2,400. 00 in repair costs. This is a safety issue as the adaptive cruise control, front collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning were all disabled due to the front camera malfunction. This should be a recall by Honda as it seems to be a common mechanical failure in Honda Odysseys from 2018-2022.

Safety features disabled after battery change. Warning lights not cleared after driving the car as they should. Front mounted safety camera does not function properly and this is critical for safety. The front camera failed and made all driver assist, automatic braking, lane departure and collision warnings to fail. The cost of a new camera and calibrations is $2000. This critical piece of safety should not fail so soon or be that expensive to replace.

Rear view multipurpose camera failed.

Failure in the front multipurpose camera. None of the drivers assisted safety features work now. These include: adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, lane keep assistance, lame departure warming, and others.

All advanced driver safety features failed. It appears there is an issue with the front camera.

Lights are going off like crazy, ran the code and says it needs a recalibration. Nothing happened to have warrant this.

Camera malfunctions with low mileage.

The dtc u300-49 suddenly failed which affects many of the security systems on the 2019 Honda Odyssey. Upon research, this is very common on the Honda Odyssey caused by it overheating which seems like it should be a dangerous part. It is such an expensive part that we as the consumer have to replace and it should be Honda replacing it if it is their fault that this part fails often. I haven't replaced it as we don't have the funds to replace it, so hopefully it won't pose a safety threat as there are 5 warnings showing on my screen daily.

Drove van about 30 miles and when I cranked it back up. It cranked fine but acc, lkas, auto headlights, and braking system warnings are on. Battery tests fine and camera and emblem is clean and working manner. Not sure whats causing it. Its annoying.

The dealership confirmed a failed front camera module and quoted $2100 to replace and recalibrate the unit. This is a systemic hardware defect affecting 2018 Honda Odysseys that requires a formal safety recall.

All adas functions stopped working on my 2019 Odyssey during a 6 hour drive to the beach with my family of four. It appears that the multipurpose camera has failed. Some reading online suggests that this is a known thermal defect, and Honda has yet to remedy the issue. Instead opting to let the consumer replace these units at $3k per.

I own a 2019 Honda Odyssey equipped with Honda sensing. The vehicle has repeatedly displayed multiple driver-assistance system failure warnings, including “adaptive cruise control problem,” “lane keeping assist problem,” “collision mitigation braking system problem,” “road departure mitigation system problem,” and “auto high beam problem. ” the warnings initially appeared intermittently and then began recurring. In some cases, the warnings appeared at startup and remained active while driving. When the warnings are present, multiple Honda sensing safety features are disabled simultaneously. To address a possible low-voltage condition, I replaced the vehicle’s battery with a new battery. After replacement and normal driving, the warnings continued to occur. The issue therefore does not appear to be solely related to battery condition. I also observed clouding and dark spotting within the front Honda emblem that covers the forward radar sensor. The discoloration appears to be inside the emblem assembly rather than on the exterior surface. Because the radar sensor is located behind this emblem, I am concerned that deterioration of the emblem or radar assembly may be affecting the operation of critical safety systems. This failure impacts several safety-related functions, including adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, lane keeping assistance, road departure mitigation, and automatic high beams. The loss of multiple advanced driver-assistance systems creates a potential safety risk because the vehicle’s collision avoidance and lane assistance features become unavailable without warning. I am submitting this complaint to document a recurring failure affecting multiple Honda sensing safety systems on my 2019 Honda Odyssey. There are numerous youtube and social media posts on the same failure for same vehicle. It seems to be an issue for 2019 year.

The camera located behind the rearview mirror is faulty. In hot weather locations (like mine in florida) it stops working. And that means all electronically assisted driving systems lkas (like cruise control, auto high beam, lane departure, auto distance monitor/collision warning, etc. ) malfunction, giving flashing messages about all non-working features. This is due to cmos image sensor degradation caused by heat exposure. Many people have expressed concerns about this on different Honda forums online. I took it to a Honda dealer and after paying a fee for diagnosis, the service manager said that when the temperature outside gets hot, they get a lot of this kind of service request. They want over $2,300 to replace the camera. They were actually puzzled why Honda does not recall this item. Honda needs to address this since it is actually safety related and indeed a faulty item. There should be no reason for people to pay this outrageous price for something that is clearly a manufacturing problem.

2020 Odyssey elite multipurpose camera unit internal electronic failure dtc u3000-49. Component is still installed and available for inspection upon request. Dash showed Honda sensing system failure warnings. No crash, no injury. Vehicle remains drivable but without active safety features, increasing risk of crash, especially on highway. Dealer confirmed failure and reproduced it, recommended camera replacement plus adas static/dynamic calibration, quoted $2,243. No prior symptoms, no accident, no damage, well-maintained. First warnings appeared Aug 2026 and stayed on continuously. Manufacturer was notified and denied goodwill coverage, stated out of warranty. This is a known widespread defect — same u3000-49 failure documented in NHTSA complaints 11615376, 11584269, 11603801 for 2018-2020 Odyssey, art's automotive public statement on pattern, youtube coverage 2016-2021, and ebay repair market with one seller showing 485 repairs for this exact camera and 111 watchers. Similar to prior Honda backup camera recall. Request NHTSA investigation / recall consideration.

Warnings adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, collision warning systems, brake system showed up while driving the vehicle, upon further search it was found there is a common issue with Honda Odyssey's multipurpose camera, and the dealer is charging 2000$ to fix it. This is a common problem in all the Honda Odyssey. I request NHTSA to look further into this issue and perform a recall or a free of charge installation. The official Honda Odyssey forum online has countless complaints on the same issue without resolution by Honda. Honda has acted in bad-faith towards their customers since this defect impacts the vehicle's advanced safety features for which buyers incur additional expenses, endangering the lives of passengers. Honda designed a system that requires continuous and substantial expenditures without resolution because it is an engineering problem, I. E. , the placement of the radar behind the large, thick plastic h emblem obstructs the radar. I hereby ask that the NHTSA investigate this issue and order Honda to offer a solution in the form of a recall that permanent addresses the problem.

My 2018 Honda Odyssey with just under 59,000 miles is showing the following warnings: - acc - adaptive cruise control problem - collision mitigation system problem - auto high-beam problem - road departure mitigation system problem - lane keep assist problem. Using a code scanner, the ecu reports error u3000-49, which seems related to the multi-purpose camera unit used for all these functions. Given that this camera is used in the various safety features listed above, the current condition presents an unsafe condition for my vehicle, which has less than 59,000 miles of being driven.

The vehicle started to have failing sensors all of a sudden. I tried a new battery but the codes returned. All adas systems tied to the camera module all went out. I had 5-7 warning lights for all driving functions. Additionally the seat belt buckle is not always clicking in properly. The belt about half the time is not retained in the buckle section.

There’s more thant went wrong but won’t let me add them. My front camera seems to be the issue but many are having the same exact issue. I just bought it not too long ago. Worked fine until this recall came out.

Root problem seems to be the forward looking camera and/or radar, though there are 8-10 codes in total. This one looks like the primary problem: u3000-49 — multipurpose camera unit / millimeter wave radar internal electronic failure as a result, we no longer have safety features such as emergency braking, collision warning, lane departure warning, or lane keeping assistance. Additionally, cruise control is no longer available. The vehicle is still drivable, but without any of the safety features reliant upon the camera and radar. There one one trip in the last few days where everything functioned normally, but on every other trip these warnings have shown up as soon as the vehicle is started. The warnings for all of those systems are displayed in the gage cluster, as well as a “brake system” light being visible. Sometimes, when the vehicle is started, additional warnings are displayed for blind spot indicator and the transmission. There were no symptoms leading up to this. Everything worked and looked normal one morning, then suddenly appeared when the vehicle was started later that evening. We have not yet had the vehicle inspected by anyone as it’s currently a holiday weekend.

This is a report on a design flaw- not a failed component- in the 2026 Honda Odyssey's "Smart" computer automated safety features, including automatic braking, lane departure, and forward collision warning systems. There have been two types of incidents. These incidents have been repeated on this vehicle dozens of times in our first year of ownership. These incidents are potentially very dangerous because they involve erroneous automatic braking at interstate highway speeds. Unexpected erroneous braking at interstate speeds is a good way to cause a rear-end collision or loss of control. 1. Automatic emergency braking due to erroneous lane departure detection. On interstates in arizona at highway speeds of 65 mph, the vehicle's lane departure detection system throws erroneous warnings when it sees non-lane markings on the roadway, such as tar sealant strips or seams between pavement sections. This has resulted more than once in the vehicle erroneously applying emergency automated braking to slow the vehicle. This happens even when lane assist and adaptive cruise control are turned off by the driver. 2. Erroneous automated braking while overtaking another vehicle. On interstates in arizona at highway speeds of 65 mph, while passing in the left lane a vehicle that is moving much slower in the right lane (e. G. Semi truck climbing a hill at 40 mph), while using adaptive cruise control, automated braking is applied erroneously when there is no risk of a forward collision. The automated braking tends to kick in far earlier than a human driver would brake, and when there is no vehicle in the lane ahead, so it is unexpected and dangerous. This only happens while adaptive cruise control is activated by the driver.

These systems randomly turn off and on while driving with no root cause. Dealership wants a lot of money to fix but they’re not 100% sure what’s causing the problem. Many 2019 Honda Odyssey owners have the same issue and there should be a recall.

The vehicle’s front camera/Honda sensing system has failed, causing multiple safety features to become unavailable simultaneously, including forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and related systems. The failure produces multiple warning messages and disables safety systems that the vehicle was equipped and marketed with. This is a recurring issue reported by other Honda owners and is currently the subject of a proposed class action lawsuit, jones et al. V. American Honda motor CO. , inc. , case no. [xxx]. The lawsuit alleges a defective front camera system affecting 2018–2025 Honda vehicles, including the Odyssey. I believe this constitutes a safety defect because the failure can occur unexpectedly and simultaneously disables multiple driver-assistance and collision-avoidance safety systems. Starting around 70,000 miles the front multipurpose camera continues to fail causing various warnings, including: - collision mitigation system problem - adaptive cruise control problem - lane keep assist problem - road departure mitigation system problem - auto high beam problem.

On April 20, 2026, at approximately 12:00 pm. I was driving my 2018 Honda Odyssey (VIN [xxx] ) southbound on [xxx] , approximately 3 miles north of the junction of [xxx] and [xxx] . I was traveling at approximately 30 mph. The vehicle struck a pothole in the road. Immediately upon impact, the passenger-side curtain airbag deployed with a loud report that I described as sounding like a gunshot next to my right ear. There was no collision with another vehicle or object, and no warning of any kind preceded the deployment. I was startled by the sudden deployment and noise, and the vehicle briefly swerved before I regained control. The deployed passenger-side curtain airbag completely obstructed my visibility through the passenger-side and right-rear windows. The road at that location runs along a narrow embankment with no shoulder, so I was unable to safely pull over. I had to continue driving approximately 3 to 4 miles with severely compromised visibility until I reached a safe location to park near the 9w and 340 junction. I was the sole occupant at the time of the incident. The curtain airbag deployed directly adjacent to my child’s car seat, which was installed in the rear passenger-side seat. My child was not in the vehicle at the time. Given the force and location of the deployment, a child seated in that position could have been seriously injured. Following the deployment, I experienced ringing in my right ear and ear pain that persisted for several hours. I was also significantly shaken by the incident. Component that failed: supplemental restraint system (srs) electronic control unit (ecu), which caused inadvertent deployment of the passenger-side curtain airbag. The vehicle and deployed airbag are available for inspection. Safety risk: the inadvertent deployment created multiple safety hazards. First, the deployment itself startled me and caused the vehicle to swerve at 30 mph on information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

5 alerts came on the dash stating lane keeping assist problem , collision mitigation problem , auto high beam problem, forward collision problem and brake system warning. All safety features on my vehicle have failed. I.

When I turned on the ignition to drive the vehicle, multiple warning lights came on to include failure of lane keeping assistance, forward collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. Additionally, after acknowledging these lights, the "brake system" light remained on in the amber color. If these safety features are not working properly, it can put the occupants of my vehicle as well as others at risk.

We went to a car wash and that day after the car wash we started getting 6+ error message codes for adaptive cruise control, lane assist, lane departure, blind spot, rear cross traffic, etc. Our tech that we took it to says they have seen this happen nation wide on these vehicles.

With no preceding accident or damage, the vehicle suddenly received multiple warning lights on the dash, including: "adaptive cruise control problem", "lane keeping assist problem", "collision mitigation system problem", "road departure mitigation system problem", ""auto high-beam problem", and a brake system caution light. I attempted turning the car off and back on again, disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes, and reconnecting, and checked all fuses that were accessible. It appears the problem is related to the multipurpose camera (Honda part #: 36160-thr-a91-m1). This appears to be a common issue. This manufacturing defect primarily effects safety systems and is common on a car that is primarily marketed towards the transport of families and children. I find this defect to be unacceptable and strongly believe that it warrants a recall by the manufacturer.

Paid $210 for Honda to run a diagnostic to tell me my multi purpose camera has a failure. This has caused 11 error lights to be displayed.
