Three problems related to abs brake fail have been reported for the 1998 Honda Passport. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Nhtsa recall 02i002001 concerning abs failure. Dealer kept vehicle for over one month, and still didn't have the parts for recall repairs.
Slowing to make right turn, braking over ripples in road; abs failed-brakes went to floor and vehicle did not stop; proceeded about 10' further then braking would have provided. Similar problems in past have been reported to NHTSA and Honda dealer. Dealer checked vehicle per Honda directions; found nothing wrong.
Abs failure. Accelerator pedal broke off and part is not readily available.
