Gasoline Engine problems of the 1998 Honda Passport

Four problems related to gasoline engine have been reported for the 1998 Honda Passport. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Gasoline Engine problem

Failure Date: 03/18/2002

While driving at a speed of 20-25 mph, the car will cut off and lose all power. Unable to start the vehicle after that, returrned to dealer for service and car was returned to owner due to the fact that the problem could not be duplicated. Over the past few months this has happened around 5-10 times, however each time was able to start the vehicle. Service department has no answer or solution to the ongoing problem. Nlm.

2 Gasoline Engine problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2002

Was advised by a Honda technician that it was an emissions problem but the code that came up doesn't show what is wrong. They replaced the gas cap but that didn't resolve the problem. Dt.

3 Gasoline Engine problem

Failure Date: 08/20/1998

While driving down the road vehicle cuts completely off. Has no power.

4 Gasoline Engine problem

Vehicle will shut off while traveling at speeds over 50 mph.
