general problems of the 1998 Honda Passport

Three problems related to tire have been reported for the 1998 Honda Passport. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Tire problem

Failure Date: 10/15/1999

New dunlop front tire has severe cupping; it is now affecting the frontal stability of the cycle, as the handle bars shake (when held with 2 hands) at some speeds. I contacted dunlop 4x, and via a dealer . . . The cupping is not so severe (and so is the instability) that its hard to go around turns. Dunlop has ingnored me, and I believe that this tire is defective all along!( dot number: tire size: 110/80zr18 ).

2 Tire problem

Failure Date: 07/01/1998

I have talked with service dept numerous and they have told me Honda knows there is a problem but has done nothing to correct. I have tried to get in touch with Honda motor CO and only get an automated machine-telling me to call later. Goodyear has told me there is a repair that needs to be done so tires will function properly and Honda service has told me they know nothing about this. 3 Tire problem

Squeaky brakes since inception. Vibration at speeds above 40mph, worse at 55-65. Dealer has balanced tires 3 times, replaced brake shoes, problem still not corrected. Constant shaking. Additional problem when letting off the brake, feel bump in brake pedal. ( dot number: ).
