The vehicle experienced sudden acceleration. When the consumer stopped in the driveway, the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated to the point the brakes did not stop the vehicle. The vehicle hit the consumer's son, who was standing in the garage, through the back wall of the garage and had run him over.

4 Car Accelerates On Its Own problem

Failure Date: 05/06/2001

While vehicle was stopped with brakes applied at top of consumer's driveway,brake pedal was released, and engine suddenly accelerated. Consumer applied brakes again, and vehicle stopped after 20 feet, leaving skid marks on driveway. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
