One problem related to tire sidewall has been reported for the 1999 Honda Passport. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Sidewall and tread severely cracked and starting to separate at 25,000 mi. The tread is at 8/32nds. The tire has dry rot and deep crack in the crown and the steel can be seen where craked. I have been told that the tires are not safe to drive on. Bridgestone has yet to do anything to resolve this matter. (tiresize: 245 70 r16)( dot number: tire size: 245 70 r16 ).
