The lane keep assist steers like a drunk person. On interstate 15 at 75 mph, the lkas steers into other lanes even on a straight road. At 45 mph, when going around a mild curve, it may keep going in a curve when the road straightens out, and steer towards opposing traffic. At 30 mph, when traveling through city intersections, it steers into the opposing left hand turn lane even on a straight road. This new generation of Honda lkas should be named lane krash assist. Lkas is typically too dangerous to use in traffic. Lkas makes it difficult to drive safely. Honda used to have a good lkas, but the new generation lkas is dangerous. I want Honda to fix my lkas, which likely requires new software and/or new lkas altogether.
Upon engine start, dashboard lights appear that warn of the following safety issues detected: - collision mitigation braking system - lane keeping assist system - adaptive cruise control - road departure mitigation diagnostic scan shows an error code of u3000-49 indicating a front camera issue. The error codes began in spring 2025 and are disturbing making driving less secure but it is my primary vehicle.
Started my vehicle and drove about a mile before my brake system lights came on. They were sporadically coming on , but now it's a continuous issue. I would like to know is there some kind of recall on vehicles that are experiencing issues with the acc, colision mitigation system, brake system, lkas, auto high beam, and road departure mitigation lights staying on . I only have 28,000 miles on my 2019 Passport elite. So it's no longer un warranty. I see that a number of people on the Honda forums are experiencing the same issues. As a loyal Honda owner, I must say I've had more issues and recalls with this one. Too many for an almost $50,000 vehicle.
I was traveling on a visible highway, no weather conditions and my vehicle snatched me into the other lane almost striking the vehicle next to me. I waited to see if it would happen again and then my aeb started just randomly slamming on breaks when vehicles in the oncoming lane were approaching. I contacted my local Honda dealership (walsh Honda, macon, GA) they inspected the vehicle and found no issues. The advisor stated this issue has been reported before and there is nothing they can do because the system "is not a human and cant detect if the car is in another lane just the sensor bouncing off of the other car". I have since had more issues with the lkas snatching me in and out of my lane and the aeb partially slamming on the breaks for no reason. I have had multiple cars and never experienced this with any other brands safety systems except the 2 Honda's I have owned.

Cmbs issue. Failed with error message on screen. Randomly the breaking system turns on with no one around me on side roads going 50 a car could be behind me with no one in front and it forcefully stops. Had to pull over to avoid being hit from behind. Have had to pull off to the side of the road and turn my car off and then on again to stop my car from randomly breaking. Lane keeping system pulls me into old lane lines during construction. When avoiding pedestrians on the side of the road car try’s to pull me back into the lane almost hitting them. I have had to stop to correct my car.
When turning on car all the advanced systems fail. I need to restart my car sometimes 3 times to clear error from instrument panel, otherwise if I drive the car none of the advanced safety features work. Honda has been unable to diagnose and twice has withheld paper work.
Hello I've had my 2021 Passport awd for only a week and have noticed it pulls noticeably to the right. This even happens when " the lane keep assist" is switched off. It is a constant struggle to keep it from drifting into the right lane and other cars. This happens on all types of roads but is most noticeable of highways. The pull is so strong that it makes the lane keep assist system (lkas) unusable. When using lkas on cruise control the vehicle keeps drifting into the shoulder of the road and even crosses the line. I went to the NHTSA. Gov website and found that Honda is aware of this issue on the 2019 Passport (off-center steering /pulling) and has sent communications about it's investigation to it's dealerships. The alignment being off on a factory car that is built for off-roading is highly irregular. For comparison, my Honda hr-v which I had for 3'years has never had any alignment issues. .
