The lane keep assist camera internally faulted and intermittent tries to work but will immediately fault out. Lights will show for adaptive cruise, lane departure, and collision avoidance. Code shows internal fault and is shown in bulletin to replace. Happened begining of 2025 like most other people.

Vehicle has frequent and persistent “front camera fault” warnings appearing on the dashboard, which result in continuous alerts and the disabling of key safety features including the brake system, collision mitigation braking system (cmbs), lane keeping assist system (lkas), adaptive cruise control (acc), and road departure mitigation (rdm). These warnings occur under all driving conditions, including clear weather and unobstructed roads. The dashboard fault warnings appear on nearly every vehicle start, and all Honda sensing feature indicators flash continuously while the vehicle is in operation. Because continuous multiple warning lights flash on dashboard, it is difficult to determine which alerts are genuine and which are false. This is thus a serious safety concern that warrants a formal recall. A diagnostic scan by dealer informs an error code of u3000-49 that is front camera needs to be replaced at a cost of $1,900, excluding a non-refundable diagnostic charge of approximately $190. Due to the exorbitant cost if no extended warranty purchased, owners reporting this do not proceed with the repair and continue to experience this ongoing safety issue.
My front windshield camera. Yes because of my camera having glitches my car would randomly brake no my front camera won't work at all and my dashboard looks like a christmas light show with all the warning lights it has been confirmed by a independent service center no no,no warning lamps no messages or other symptoms of the problem prior. To the failure everything happened at all once on oct3 2025.
“road departure mitigation system problem” is the error that comes up on the dash. The error shuts down cruise control and slows the car down unexpectedly. I’ve taken the vehicle to the Honda dealer in tampa florida where I purchased it and they will not fix the vehicle. The error is a safety issue slowing the vehicle down in traffic and a driver distraction triggered by the collision mitigation system and roadway departure system.

The nidec oem part number 36160-tgs-a03-m1 has failed and causing all five of these alerts to appear as warnings: 1. Road departure mitigation problem 2. Collision mitigation problem 3. Lane keeping assist problem. 4. Auto high beam problem. 5 adaptive cruise control failure I don't know if the nidec part is oem from Honda and I believe the materials used by nidec are creating the issue. I thought the Honda oem part for this camera came from bosch. The german part appears to made from aluminum, the nidec part might be a plastic or other material. I am researching the failure rate on your part as I don’t believe there is a heat sink as part of the configuration and the part seems to be out of stock everywhere I look.

When I turn on the car, the "brake system" warning light appears, along with several alerts that disable all Honda safety features, including: 1. Road departure mitigation system problem 2. Auto high-beam problem 3. Adaptive cruise control problem 4. Lane keeping assist problem 5. Collision mitigation system problem after taking the vehicle to a Honda dealership, the diagnosis was a failure of the multipurpose camera unit and/or the millimeter wave radar. Unfortunately, this is a common issue affecting several Honda models, including the clarity, fit, pilot, Passport, and cr-v. Due to high demand and limited supply, the camera unit is currently sold out nationwide with no estimated restock date. Repairing this issue is expected to cost approximately $2,600, with no set timeline for when the parts will become available.

First new car in my life and I’m 70. When we bought the car, within a week the entire dash board lit up with warnings. Call the dealer, they towed it to their shop and “calibrated” the collision mitigation front facing camera. This service was completed but within the next 2 years, the situation repeated itself over and over but would always go away. The last time the system failed (with all of the bells and whistles) I went back to Honda and they informed me a replacement was required. $1500 later the front facing multipurpose camera was replaced. The car’s 3 year warranty expired 2 months before the needed replacement. The dealer told me that these cameras have been a significant problem, and are replaced often. The replacement camera has a different part number from what was installed on the car when built. This indicates that Honda knows of this problem, and has upgraded the camera but left it to the owners to replace if it is out of warranty (even 2 months). As a retired degreed engineer, I think this is a significant safety issue…. . To have all of the alarms activate while sitting in the drivers seat.
The forward-facing mulitpurpose camera has failed on numerous occasions. This causes failures adaptive cruise control (acc), collision mitigation system, auto high-beam, road departure mitigation, and lane keeping assist. There are numerous incidents of the same failure across most Honda models for the same issue, documented in various forums.
Approximately a month ago several warning lights started turning on. These included adaptive cruise control collision mitigation lane keep assist road departure mitigation high beam detection when I brought the car to the dealer for a diagnosis they informed me the windshield camera and possibly the radar as well would need to be replaced. The products were not under warranty and the cost to replace them is exorbitant. These are vital components of the safety system in this car and should be replaced at the dealer cost.
Front radar camera is broken after 100000 miles. Errors include: adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, brake system, road departure mitigation system, auto high beam, collision mitigation.
Adaptive cruise control; automatic emergency braking; blind spot warning lane departure warning; lane keeping assistance; parking collision warning.
On this day it was approximately 5:45am my 2023 Honda Passport indicated to brake in the dash then proceeded to snatch me into a curb at 50 mph. I have since taken it back to the dealership where they can not diagnose the problem. I have contacted Honda corp. Which they haven't been able to help. The dealership stated that they could not preform an alignment as my frame or suspension may be damaged or bent.

I was traveling on a visible highway, no weather conditions and my vehicle snatched me into the other lane almost striking the vehicle next to me. I waited to see if it would happen again and then my aeb started just randomly slamming on breaks when vehicles in the oncoming lane were approaching. I contacted my local Honda dealership (walsh Honda, macon, GA) they inspected the vehicle and found no issues. The advisor stated this issue has been reported before and there is nothing they can do because the system "is not a human and cant detect if the car is in another lane just the sensor bouncing off of the other car". I have since had more issues with the lkas snatching me in and out of my lane and the aeb partially slamming on the breaks for no reason. I have had multiple cars and never experienced this with any other brands safety systems except the 2 Honda's I have owned.
The monocular camera, part 36160-tgs-a13 failed. This camera drives the vast majority of safety features on the Honda Passport. Those affected features include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance, parking collision warning, automatic high beam control, and more. This vehicle has not been in a collision or subjected to any reason that would disable the camera. This camera, and apparently a significant number of others of this same model number appear to simply be defective. American Honda (and the dealers) indicate that the part is backordered with no eta for restock, yet oem part suppliers have the part readily available for one day delivery at $600. A quick search of the internet reveals this part failure is common, and the dealer response of backorder with no eta seems to be a standard response. The one dealer I dealt with indicated they are personally handling 2 such cases at this exact moment. Given the more than 1,000 Honda dealerships in the country, this indicates that it is more than possible that over 2,000 newer model Honda vehicles are driving on the roads throughout the country with the vast majority of their safety features disabled. Dtc code provided by the dealer is u3000-49. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by norm reeves Honda dealer at their huntington beach California location. The resulting component failure causes nearly every warning light on the vehicle to turn on.
