The push button gearshifting. I have accidentally hit reverse about 100 times since I’ve owned this car in six months. It ended up in a rear end collision with a parked car. Then when I tried to drive forward, I backed up again. The first time was intentional backing and I didn’t see the car behind me… the second time I was attempting to drive forward and I hit the reverse button again. It was instinctual. I hit the car twice.

Warning system failure… all lights lit and systems did not work. Car was drivable but with no safety mitigation systems. Happened suddenly while driving on hwy. Displayed the following warnings: transmission system problem blind spot info system problem power steering system problem emissions system problem vehicle stability assist problem hill start assist problem traffic stability assist problem road departure mitigation system problem rear tailgate did latch not working the d for drive was blinking these safety systems put my driving at risk as I rely on them for safe driving, lane change . . Etc brought to dealer for second time and they insist I leave the vehicle on so they can check the error codes. Even had ready made sign “ do not turn vehicle off” for dashboard. Seems like significant problem and I’m not the only one. Evidenced by chatter on Honda web forums. My question is, why do all system failure lights activate? why can’t they determine the failure after car is turned off. Isn’t that the purpose of fail codes? why do all safety functions fail when one issue arises. Evidence points to a software bug that effects all these functions (yes including the rear latch) dealer recommends replace the abs module but is not sure. Last time they replaced the speed sensor. Seems they are unsure. Needs software fix !.
No warning messages on dashboard. The drivers side mirror goes off like there's something there but there's nothing. Same with the braking display light comes on when I'm no where near anything, yet I've had cars pull out in front of me thankful no crash has happened because it doesn't go off then. I plan to take it into the dealership soon. I can't give an estimate of how long exactly it's been doing this. Especially side mirror warning. That's been going on. The braking thing has probably been a month now.

The sensors simply don’t work. Cmbs system constantly raises warnings, often alarming me as a driver, almost creating accidents. On one occasion, coming into a turning lane of intersection with green arrow and cars moving forward into left turn, cmbs actually applied the brakes for about 1 second, alarming me and causing the driver behind me to react as well. There’s no permanent disabling of this feature, which is a mistake by mfg, and we often forget to turn off starting each drive. Blind spot is often throwing false alarms. Lane detection too, but we permanently turn off lane detection.
The transmission system problem light appeared on the dash, and then the blind spot info system problem light appeared as well. The car refused to shift and caused us to pull off the road at night, put the car in park, and turn the car off on a busy road. It is scheduled to be looked at by friendly Honda in springfield IL on July 28th 2023 no the vehicle has not be inspected by anyone yet no there were no warning alarms at all prior to the incident.
Forward collision warning alert (brake) warning triggers frequently when opposing traffic is present. Sometimes the brakes apply that has led to several near miss collisions from being rear ended. The blind spot warning false triggers during wet conditions. Both of these items are distracting and first is dangerous. The two different dealers I have contacted are aware of these issues and have stated that Honda has no solution. One of the dealers said they could check/adjust the radar for $270 but may not fix the problem.
