My 2001 Honda Passport was recalled for a lower trailing link front brackets. After inspection it was the worst frame rust that they have ever seen. Too dangerous to drive and could cause a crash. Waiting for a response from Honda. I still have 2 more years on this loan for this car and have nothing to drive to look for work. I still have to pay on a car I will never be able to drive again. I have found out that Honda is offering other very low pay off amounts for these vehicles. I feel helpless and don't know what to do next. On their recall notice it states that any incidental or inconvenience you may have suffered due to the loss or use of your vehicle may not be reimbursable. Please help us resolve this issue with Honda and make things
right as 35,000 people are involved in this recall.

The front end feels unstable at speeds over 60 mph, vehicle rides rocky and pulls to the left. Tires are wearing unevenly, and have been replaced once. Vehicle had been examined by dealer numerous times, but problem was not resolved.
This vehicle is out of alignment it had the tires rotated after 5 days and they are again cupped. They tried to fix the alignment but I was told that they could not fix it without a chamfer shim kit whcih is not acceptable to me. This means there is front end damage per the mechanics I spoke with. The hood had spots which were to be buffed out but the dealer could not buff them out and painted it instead without my approval. I now do not have a factory paint job. The 2 mirrors had spots which meant that the mirrors neaded to be replaced. Also the door strips and the interior door pieces had to also be replaced. The last straw was the truck leasks at the back when it was washed by me. I have no faith in the vehicle or the dealer to resolve these problems.

Steering wheel and vehicle shakes and shimmies at 60+mph. Six times to dealer. Tires replaced. Load springs/power steering rack replaced all without correction of problem. Dangerous if bump is hit at 65+ unless steering wheel is tightly gripped with both hands. First 1,000 miles did not get up to freeway speeds so problem not really noticed until that time.
While driving at speeds of 55-75 steering wheel vibrates sharply and pulls to the right, dealer has replaced and balanced front tires and aligned front end, as well as installed new gear return spring. Dealers explanation for the problems range from uneven pavement to aggressive tread pattern on tires. I have an appointment to meet with the manufacture's area represenative.

Dealer tried 3 times to fix suspension/shaking steering wheel; still not fixed.
Many problems with Passport. Abs light stays on (bad rear sensor failure 3 times), front suspension problems (bushings are failing) problem happens 6 times, vehicle may stall while driving when clutch is depressed which causes loss of control of vehicle, fuel guage went out (dealer says it is the main computer system).
Extreme vibration in steering wheel at speeds 55 to 75 mph. Vehicle pulls to both directions. Dealer has alligned, balanced and replaced tires. After third attempt, dealer informs us there is nothing further they can do to remedy the problem at this time. Also, right front area makes squeeking sound. We test drove a brand new Passport like ours on the same lot, it had slight vibration problem as well. We were told by service manager that within 500 miles that vehicle would do the same as ours.
When driving heard vibration in the front end and steering at 60-65mph. Dealer contacted and tried to remedy the problem for approximately five weeks. Cannot duplicate the problem.
Vehicle shimmies and wobbles betweeen 60 - 70 mph. Steering wheel begins to vibrate at 60-70 mph. First trip was told tires needed balancing. Tires were balanced and service indicated the problem was resolved. Returned less than a month later and was told a "slight" vibration was "normal". However the vibration is extreme. Car has been serviced 3 - 4 times since initial visit to dealership and was told by service manager he was had been in contact with american Honda and Honda engineers were working on a solution but a time frame for an answer was unknown. Was contacted by american Honda and told to return the vehicle for additional balancing. Vehilce kept for a week but the problem was unresolved. Help!!!!.
Front alignment failed. Yh.
When coming to a stop front feels like it is skipping across the road, and also pullling to one side. Dealer has been contacted.
Bad vibration at 55mph and above, also pulls either direction. Dealer can't fix three times. Called manufacturer. They say dealer can install a "yoke spring" to cut down on vibration. Service mngr at dealership said he had never heard of this yoke springcalled service dept 4 times and each time they say part will be in 2-3 days. It has now been 3 weeks still no yoke spring.
Vehicle pulls severly to right , making vehicle hard to manage on road. Delaer has been contacted. This has been repaired once, but that has not solved the problem.
