1 Software problem of the 2019 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 12/27/2020

Noted that the dashboard blanked out momentarily while driving on the interstate. The speedometer came back, first, followed by the remaining dashboard items. The instrument panel control module software update (recall) had been completed 3 weeks previously and approximately 1200 miles prior to this event. Did not experience this issue before the software update. Returned the vehicle to the dealer for recheck but they did not note any software error codes.

2 Software problem of the 2020 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 07/20/2020

Vehicle braking heavily and unexpectedly on highway and interstate due to defective Honda sensing group input data (radar, camera, on-board software creating dangerous situation) at high speeds (60-70mph).

3 Software problem of the 2020 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 06/10/2020

Tl-the contact owns a 2020 Honda pilot. The contact stated that the front end radar system and the collision avoidance system had been sensing other objects and abruptly slowing the vehicle down almost to a complete stop. The contact had turned off the feature so it would not engage in error like before. The contact was able to override when applying the brakes. The other features of the front end radar system the adaptive cruise control was not reading any object in front the vehicle and speed up possibly causing a collision. . The final feature has to do with the panel displaying the wrong speed of the the vehicle . The vehicle was taken for the dealer Honda of downtown chicago 1111 n clark st ste 2, chicago, IL 60610 (312) 766-1095 and they performed a software update for the panel to show the correct speed. They also suggested that the front panel of the vehicle be cleaned and wiped off at all times for correct readings of any object in front of the vehicle. The manufacturer stated that the system could be reading bumps in the road, curves in the road and rain that could cause inaccurate readings. The issue wase escalated to a case manager but there was not much they say they could do. . The failure mileage was 7,600. Tf.
