Driver's seat belt does not work properly. It is at least 10 inches shorter that all other seat belts in the vehicle. This makes it impossible to look around and see clearly when backing, turning, and merging. Also, there is not an elr with this belt. This seems like a huge safety issue.

The passenger seatbelt mechanical spring is rusted out. Honda only warranties it for 150k miles. This being a life saving piece of equipment it should have a lifetime warranty and engineered with a stainless spring.

Driving in the city when the 3 vehicle collision happened going 25-30mph. The first car stopped suddenly to let pedestrians cross the street. Then the second car followed and I did not catch the stop in time. Front air bags did not deploy when my car rear ended the other vehicles. And driver seatbelt did not lock. Injuries of whiplash, concussion and a broken nose resulted from this.

Tl the contact owns a 2006 Honda Pilot. While driving 55 mph, the driver's side curtain air bag and driver's seat air bag deployed without warning or an impact. Also, the driver's seat belt tightened up unexpectedly. The contact swerved the vehicle slightly due to being constricted by the seat belt. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to fairfield Honda (201 lycoming mall dr, muncy, PA 17756, (570) 326-2858), but was not diagnosed or repaired at the contact's request. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The driver's side seat belt is considerably shorter than the front passenger seat belt. The driver's seat belt is so constricting that you can't turn to look when changing lanes. So the need to drive without using the seat belt is an issue of safety. I am an average size person and this has never been a problem in any other vehicle I have owned.

When using the drivers side seat belt, there is no extra give in the belt. The belt is very tight and the driver can not even turn to check their blind spot. This is very dangerous. I have had this vehicle since September 2018. I have tried adjusting the seat further away from the wheel, however, the belt seems too short.
Driver's front seat belt is drastically shorter than passenger front seat belt. I am restricted in ability to look around and make sure there is no other vehicle in my blind spot. There is no fix for this per the dealer as Honda does not acknowledge an error. This is a serious safety issue and needs to be addressed by the manufacturer.
Driver seat - seat belt nylon thread is splitting.

The driver side seatbelt on my 2018 Honda Pilot is not the standard size and is short. It does not extend like the passenger seatbelt and prevents the driver from leaning forward to check out it is safe to turn. The driver seatbelt does not lock in place when stopping vehicle.
Driver side seat belt is short locks. In addition, it prohibits and restricts driver from leaning forward. This causes an unsafe driving condition.
The driver's side seat belt is too short. It is tight across my chest and the left side of my neck. The dealer offers no fix for the other than a seat belt extender which Honda does not sell. I am 52 tall and 220 lbs. Yes I am over weight but I've owned 8 other Honda's and have never had this problem before. I am now stuck with a brand new vhicle I don't feel safe driving.
Drivers side seat belt is too short, not as long as passengers seat belt. It prohibits / restricts leaning forward to check oncoming traffic (both looking left and right) at intersections and merging situations. I believe this causes an unsafe driving condition.
The drivers seatbelt is very short and doesn't allow any movement at all times.

The drivers side seat belt is much shorter than the passenger side. Unless you are an extremely small person it is difficult to move or clearly look at your blind spots when driving. The seat belt sits across your neck and breast which would cause major damage in an accident. This is a design flaw. This seat belt was made too short.
2005 Honda Pilot, when I first start the car the in the morning the red indicator light for the seatbelt and airbag (drivers side airbag) on the dashboard comes on and stays on the entire day this includes stopping and turning off the engine, going into a store and coming back out, starting the engine again, continue driving for each day until I return back home. But at least two (2) days a month when I first start the car in the morning this same red indicator light on the dashboard stays off the entire day while driving the car. This includes stopping and turning off the engine, going into a store and coming back out and starting the engine again and continue driving for each day until I get back home. Each time the red indicator light is stays on or off for the day I drive my car I use city streets 25 mpr. And driving on the turnpike at 75 mph. This started in 2018.

The driver seat seatbelt is too short to comfortably buckle while wearing winter clothing, or for individuals with a larger stomach. In addition it is not possible to lean forward while stopped to look around obstacles when pulling out of a location with limited visibility. This leaves no choice but to use an aftermarket extender or just not buckle up. It is significantly shorter than the passenger side or any other vehicle I've been in. This is a confirmed issue with many other owners per online forums.
The srs modual is defective so I have non working air bags and the left seat belt is defective. Honda says the will fix the seat belt bot not the srs modual.

Driver seat belt is very short, comparing to other makes and models can not reach the dash when trying to clear window or dash if something is on there seatbelt locks up about quarter way to dash. Major safety issue , have to buy extender for overisezed person. . .
The drivers seatbelt is very small and limiting. As a person of larger size (not obese) I am barely able to fasten the seatbelt comfortably unless I scoot the seat all the way back, at that point I cannot reach the pedals. I am unable to lean forward to look for it oncoming traffic safely. The dealership reports that this is normal for the drivers side to be smaller and I should get a seat belt extender (after market). The passenger side fits perfectly. Unacceptable.
The contact owns a 2017 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that the driver's seat belt was too short. The contact stated that the seat belt made it difficult for the contact to move the seat to optimal position and becomes too tight when he moved the seat forward. Lindsay Honda (5959 scarborough blvd, columbus, OH 43232, (614) 864-5250) advised the contact to purchase an extender since there was no remedy for the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN and failure mileage were unknown.
The front drivers side seat belt is way to short for a normal human being. I'm average height and weight but when I attempt to put the seat belt around me it barely fits. Once I manage to get it locked there's no slack. In case of accident the seat belt will cause injuries. This vehicle needs to be recalled immediately.
Known issue- driver side seat belt too short to allow adequate vision when merging, etc. Many consumers resorting to seat belt extensions online. This is a safety issue- driver belt easily 10 inches smaller than passenger belt.
Driver side seatbelt is markedly shorter than passenger side as well as other current year Honda models. My wife is shorter than I and when she positions the seat, she has barely any travel in the belt. This could be very dangerous and apparently has been previously reported and is documented in various forums on the internet.
I just bought a new Pilot after owing a 2011 for 6 years. I never had any issues with my 2011 Pilot seat belts. On the 2017 Pilot, the driver's side seat belt appears to be several inches shorter than the passenger's side. It makes it difficult for me to be able to move the seat to an optimal position because it traps me in too tightly if I move the seat forward or raise it higher. I am a shorter person and I'm not able to position myself comfortably due to the shorter seat belt. Instead I am forced to sit lower and all the way back. How is this safe?I took it to the dealer and they explained that the driver's side seat belt is attached to the floor, where the passenger's is attached to the seat, which makes that seat belt have lots of extra room. The dealer said I need to purchase an extender since there is no fix to this problem, as "it is a design flaw". I don't feel this is a safe option. I should be able to use the seat belt without needing an extender. The safety rating of the car is based on using the standard seat belt, not an extender. Please have this issue recalled so they can either install a longer seat belt or they need to move the seat belt mounting on the driver's side. (a longer seat belt would be an easier and less costly option, in my opinion. ) thank you.
The driver side safety belt latch comes undone while driving. When you buckle the latch, it seems that it is locked. But you pull on it or take a corner at regular speed, the latch comes undone.
The contact owns a 2016 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that the driver's seat belt failed to work. The driver's side belt was very tight, especially for people of different sizes to buckle up. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to peters Honda of nashua (300 amherst st, nashua, nh 03063) and the dealer stated that the vehicle was designed that way. The dealer stated that the contact could buy a Honda seat belt extender to remedy the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted at 800-999-1009 and stated that the Honda was designed that way and nothing could be done. A case number was not provided. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.
Driver side seat belt doesn't extend enough. I had to buy a seat belt extender.
Second row, driver's side seat belt failed to retract making it impossible for passenger to remove the belt and exit the car. Seat belt had to be manually cut with scissors so that passenger could remove the belt and exit car.
My boyfriend hit a deer at a high rate of speed.

Seat belt shoulder restraint did not engage on front passenger side when our vehicle was rear ended. . This resulted in the front passenger hitting her head on the dashboard. She sustained a contusion and concussion and had to receive treatment at a hospital for the injuries. Vehicle was stopped when hit from behind.

Once I secure my seatbelt, it rides up around my neck and under my right armpit within 5 to 10 minutes. I have moved my seat forward and back, up and down and changed the back to recline more and less. The result is always the same! no only is this uncomfortable and requires constant adjusting, but it cannot be safe.
The drivers side seat belt is to confining and tight that it hinders the movement of the driver slowing reaction time. It is unsafe. The driver's side seat belt does not extend out far enough for a short heavy person to pull the seat belt around and buckle it so it is comfortable. The passenger side seat belt has no issue. A visual inspection comparing the 2 seat belts shows the driver side seat belt does not come out of the floor as far as the passenger side. This issue results in the seat belt being to tight and restricting the drivers mobility while driving. The Honda dealer service department and Honda customer service confirm this is by design and nothing can be done. This is an accident waiting to happen. Honda needs to offer a passenger side seat belt configuration and specs for the drivers side.
