Back-up camera malfunction. Displays black screen in reverse. Appears to be related to a wire ingenuity in the left side of tailgate hinge. First noted 3-12-2022. Web search depicts back up camera failure on many 2017-2019 Honda Ridgeline trucks.

I purchased this 2021 Honda Ridgeline new. The windshield washers quit working about six months later. For the past 12 months I have been trying to get the replacement nozzles from no less than 8 different Honda dealers. They are on national back order and after repeated orders, most recently with Honda of asheville nc I contacted the Honda customer support. Case # 13583397. Now after almost 30 days and at least 6 calls and e-mails to them I still have no idea if they will ever get these nozzles for me. As you can imagine with adverse weather conditions it is a major safety issue to have poor visibility out of the windshield. Please help!! these are specially designed low pressure nozzles so they are not available anywhere but Honda.

The rear view camera failed, because wires in the harness leading to the camera (located in tailgate) became bare and then severed through regular opening/closing of the tailgate. Many other Ridgeline owners have experienced this issue.
Sunroof spontaneously exploded by while driving the car on highway 50 from sacramento to tahoe, suspect changing outside temperature to around 30.
Backup camera failed while backing out of parking space. Rear backup camera failed as a result of overstress of wires in tailgate. Wires broke as a result of normal tailgate operation.
The rear backup camera that is used every single day has gone completely black. The wire harness that runs from the truck to the tailgate have split due to opening and closing. This is a very common problem that is not the easiest to fix which costs the owners. This will happen to every single 2017-2019 Ridgeline. It is simply caused by opening and closing tailgate in the parked position.
The rear camera system has completely failed and the wiring harness is severed due to the engineering failure. The harness is pinched and the opening and closing of a door panel causes the harness to fray and split, exposing wires that led to a complete failure.
Hood is warped because of 3 years of it not latching properly. Recall did not fix the problem. According to the recall, if the hood is damaged they are supposed to replace it, which it is damaged. Honda autonation 104 refuses to do so saying "this is normal" and I have provided Honda service people that will vouch for us. Provided photos and videos. Safety is put at risk for the driver and passengers along with other motorists if a failure happens and the hood fly's open at highway speeds it could cause death. Yes has been confirmed by dealer employees and and other service shops. The dealer managers refuse to even come look at the vehicle even when it is there at the dealer. First appeared 6 months after we bought the vehicle brand new from said dealer. Has been documented on many of our oil change visits. Still refuse to replace damaged/warped hood. To add to our frustration, corporate Honda is also in agreement with the dealership. No one from the dealership or corporate Honda has ever actually inspected the hood. This vehicle, 2019 Honda Ridgeline, has never been involved in any sort of accident and has been very well maintained and taken care of.

Vehicle has under 24,000 miles on it and has never been in an accident. Under normal driving conditions, the rear view mirror vibrates to the point of distorting the vision / view from the mirror. This happens when driving at low speeds on paved city streets and at higher speeds on paved highways. The problem seems to crop up mostly when it is hot outside, but the vehicle is in florida where high outside temps are common and often year round. Other Honda Ridgeline owners have reported this issue via online chat groups / forums. I have reported the issue to Honda USA but never got a response or call back. At the least, this is an annoyance that should be addressed by Honda. At worst, it presents a serious visibility / safety issue.
My dashboard on my 2019 Honda Ridgeline is melting. It causes a glare that is reflected off of the windshield and into the drivers eyes. The Honda factory representative said they will not replace it! this vehicle is only three months old with 4302 miles on the odometer! it was determined to be inferior materials in other auto manufacturers vehicles!.
Leaking water on rear passenger side window, called the c pillar leak that is widespread. Mine happens after going through a car wash. Started like a trickle of water down and eventually gets worst. This is my 2nd 2019 Ridgeline first one had a similar leak and they swap it due to lemon law application after dealer failed to fix after 2 attempts. Now I an having the same problem with the new one. Honda either unresponsive or not offering any customer service, certainly a factory defect that need to be corrected by TSB properly. Dealer is trying but Honda need to be waken up. I searched google and it has happen to other people to.
Rear window cracked for no reason. Was using the defroster at the time. Entire glass panel shattered in place. Stopped at a stop light surrounded by traffic that was also stopped. Heard what sounded like an explosion. Rear window had a concave area on the inside which seemed to be the epicenter of the cracking. Police examined the window and bed of truck and had a similar theory. No foreign debris in bed to indicate a rock.
I just took my truck in for the airbags recall about 2weeks ago, October q2th, 2017. Since I've gotten it back the windshield wipers don't work as good as they dud and I just put new wipers on before I took it into auto nation Honda in columbusga. Now there's a greasy film on the windshield that I can't get off. Also there's another recall the dealership didn't acknowledge, fuel pump relay, so there's a recall for my truck for that part and hasn't been taken care of so I feel my safety is at stake, I also have a 4year old daughter.

One time, I was unable to turn the wiper on at all on the high way. Lately, wipers stop at the middle of the windshield so I had to stop and restart it. I took vehicle to Honda dealer and they failed to duplicate my problems. But, I knew that my vehicle has this problems.
Driver's side sun visor came loose when I attempted to adjust it on the interstate. The sun was shining in from the left and I wanted to place the visor to the left so that the sun would not shine in my eyes. When it came loose it was dangling by the electrical wire and obscuring my vision to the road in front. Fortunately I was able to pull over, stop and push it back in place and lock it with the locking tab. It will stay in place as long as it is not unsnapped from the locking tab.
I was driving down the freeway at ~ 60 mph with the center back window open about half way. The center back window shattered and blew small sharp pieces of glass all over the inside of the truck. Small pieces of glass pierced my wrist as I attempted to clean the mess once I was at home.

Honda ridgelibe rear center sliding window exploded for no reason and without any cause during a drive with my 6 year old in the back seat. After reading on the internet causes I have discovered this is not an isolated occurrence. My daughter could have been seriously injured. We were driving in a subdivision with no other cars on the street.

The contact owns a 2010 Honda Ridgeline. The contact stated that the windshield wipers were located too low on the hood and whenever it snows the wipers get stuck causing them not to work properly. He had to use a screwdriver in order to release them. The manufacturer was contacted and advised the contact to notify the dealer. The dealer was unable to offer any assistance since they were unable to change the design of the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 6,500.

Hello, in wisconsin it is not uncommon to get a small amount of ice and snow accumulation on a car. When snow and ice accumulate their is always a small amount usually less than 1/4 inch that is impossible to scrape off without destroying the paint on the vehicle. On the other 24 cars I have owned when this melts after driving a short time from the cabin temperature, it slides onto the windshield after breaking the first time after melting loose. The wipers then push the slush off to the sides so you can see. On my 2007 Honda Ridgeline instead of that happening the wipers shut off under the increased momentary load. The only way to get them to reset is to stop, turn the vehicle off and restart it. This is very difficult to do when you are completely blinded with slush looking forward. This has happened 3 times, the last time I was coming up on a road blocked off due to a fatality accident. I slammed on the breaks, because I could not see I ended up stopping in oncoming traffic lane about 5 feet from the police vehicle blocking the road. I called Honda several times. There line is that the wipers meet federal standards and they will not fix the problem. My neighbor down the street is also having the same problem, and the dealership has noted the problem with other Ridgelines. My vehicle wa examined by the dealership and is working as designed. Please force them to fix this problem before I or somebody else kills someone as a result of this issue.
Windshield wipers stop while driving when it is snowing.
