Car would randomly shut off or stall while being driven; car would not start up or turn over right after the incident occurs. Happened multiple times after bringing it to the Hyundai dealership; getting the car back and saying that they can't replicate the problem while it is unsafe to drive. The cause of this incident is unknown.

I purchase a 2007 Accent Hyundai and while driving it stalls very dangerous. I purchased this car for my son as his first car. While the car is in motion it just stops running while the car is in motion. Wont start up for 20 min or an hour just to do it again. You can be on the highway or just up the road very dangerous. Car just stops for no reason why wasn't this car recalled.

1) 6/8/when I stopped at a traffic light, the battery light came on and the car stalled. After I turned it off and turned it on again, the problem disappeared. 2) 7/27/a similar situation recurred, again after stopping at a traffic light. This time multiple warning lights came on, including engine oil pressure, parking brake/brake fluid and something else. The car stalled again. And again after turning it off and on the problem disappeared and then I could drive. 3) 9/24/I was driving at the speed of 60 mph. Suddenly multiple warning lights came on and I was afraid that the car can stall. Fortunately, it didn't happen. The lights stayed there for a few seconds and then disappeared. But another weird effect occurred: trip a miles, which was about 50, reset and started from 0. Most likely it is a computer malfunction. With this issue the car is unpredictable, unreliable and dangerous.

While driving the car it loses electrical power and the vehicle stalls, which causes it to lose lights, gauges, steering, etc. The car will not restart immediately after stalling out, sometimes up to an hour. This is a very dangerous situation and has happened over 8 times now. The local Hyundai dealer said it might be the ip junction box or it might be a lose grounding wire and they will not give us a definite answer for a fix. The car continues to lose electrical and stall and is now unable to be covered under warranty due to the fact of the mileage is at 60,100. I see this as a manufacturing fault with the electrical system and Hyundai should take care of this major safety issue at no cost to the consumer.

All were warranty repairs. The ignition coil went out first. Then the catalytic converter. The body was just a minor thing, a rain rail came loose, and it had to be replaced. Finally, the car caught fire on 09-02-03 and it is totally. I only had it two yrs. And it only had 31,000 miles on it. It has a history of stalling out on trips of 30 miles or more, it would restart soon though. Car is a total loss.
