Right front coil spring broke hitting rotor cracking the rotor replaced all affected parts at our own expense replaced coil spring,rotor,brake pads. Hyundai says this vehicle not in the recall even though it is registered in the effected area of the recall
this could have potentially led to catastrophic failure if it had not been detected.

: the contact stated while the vehicle was being repaired for other recalls, upon inspection it was discovered the front coil springs and upper mounting brackets were cracked. There is NHTSA recall # 98v245000, regarding the front coil springs. The front coil springs were replaced under recall in 1999 however the recall did not correct the problem. The vehicle is having the same problems again. The manufacturer has been alerted and no repairs have been made.

Consumer received recall notice 98v245000 concerning front coil spring. The driver took vehicle to the dealership, and mechanic told consumer that he could not fix it due to the struts being corroded.
Left front lower coil spring snapped while driving, lost control of vehicle, and went into grassy median. Nothing was hit. Reported by insurance agent, not owner.
Ignition coil went out 3 days after vehicle purchased. Since then it has been replaced 2 more times. Also, front end will shake, and engine check light comes on.

Dealer is not honoring mfr. Recall notice regarding corrosion of front coil springs.
The consumer received recall letter for front coil springs. Since receiving recall letter, the parts have been unavailable. When consumer went to get vehicle serviced, the dealership told him that they had the parts, and consumer needed to get oil change along with routine check-up. After finishing with the routine check-up, dealer told the consumer that he didn't have parts.
Front coil spring has developed cracks. A recall has been issued on vehicle's make/model. However, this vehicle was not included due to VIN. Vehicle has been repaired at owner's expense. Please provide further informaiton.
Recall repair of the installation of a spring guide to prevent the spring from contacting the tire in the event that it breaks due to corrosion is not a sufficient repair, repair does not illiminate the possibility of spring failure due to corrosion of rock salt.
