The sun visors break at the hinge and drop down in front of the driver's face obstructing view. I have owned 1 elantra and 2 Accents since 2005. Hyundai refuses to deal with this.

Drivers side visor fell down to block view of road. Will not stay up any more. Had to use velcro to hold up but gives way on hot days.

Drivers side sunscreen visor broke at the connection to the prop rod causing the sunscreen to swing down unsupported. Replaced this with another visor and the same thing happened again.
Driver side visor drops out of clip on secured side blocking view while driving. Clip which is suppose to keep unit secured to vehicle is small plastic ring which breaks easily. Dealership just replaced this less than two years ago while vehicle was still under warranty. One would think that a little used item would not break as easily as this visor does.

Normal use of sun visor leads to the plastic cracking around the internal support bar. The sun visor slowly starts failing to stay in the full upright position and then eventually will not stay at all. The sun visor will fall to the full down position in the driver's view. The only way to correct the failure is to remove the sun visor completely and replace the entire apparatus. Both the drivers and passenger sun visors are broken.

I have a 2006 Hyundai Accent and the sun visor on the drivers side is not staying up. It falls while I am driving and there doesn't seem to be an effective solution. I researched this topic and discovered that other Hyundai vehicles from 2006 and 2007 are having similar issues. I contacted Hyundai and was told I'd have to pay $175 for a new visor and that this is not covered by warranty. I bought this car brand new and have had it less than four years. This is unacceptable.

My 2007 Hyundai Accent driver side sun visor has broken just after warranty went out. It will not stay in the up position anymore. It is in my face and very hazardous while driving. I have not replaced yet because the dealer wants $190. 00 to repair/replace. I have read about numerous complaints about this on all Hyundai's. Please help!.
Drivers side visor does not stay up. It seems to have broken, and also the visor light does not work. $175 to replace - not repaired, too expensive. I now extend the plastic flap and place that on top of the mirror to hold it up. Very annoying and needs to be a recall by Hyundai.
