Hyundai Azera owners have reported 2 problems related to brake disc pads (under the service brakes category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Hyundai Azera based on all problems reported for the Azera.
With 5 weeks I had both front disc brake caliber units freeze up and require replacement because they failed to work. When in motion the vehicle felt like it was being retarded, the vehicle vibrated badly and I thought I had a flat tire. The vibration occurred at both low and highway speeds and occasionally affected steering the front rotors needed to be resurfaced and the pads were warped by extreme heat from the friction of the calibers being locked. The first episode was in late March 2017, the most recent was 5/3/2017.

2007 Hyundai Azera brake issues. At 11k miles rotors were machined. At 12500 miles, rotors were replaced. Pads never replaced. At 22k miles car shakes a great deal due to hot spots on rotors. Dealership machined again but does not replace pads. So the car has 23k miles on it with two sets of rotors and 3x machined rotors. But it is my driving habits even thought I have two other vehicles, only drive highway, and have no other issues with brakes on the other car. Rotors/brakes very poor on 07 Azera.
