1 Steering Is Tight problem

Failure Date: 04/05/2023

I was driving home power steering went out light came on eps I had a problem steering almost run into another car a few times. This just happened wed 4/5 /2023. I have not taken it to a dealer yet because of a dental emergency that same day. I can call the insurance mon 4/10 /2023. No one looked at the vehicle I may have to tow it not sure yet. I got no warning that the power steering was going out. But the eps light came on afterwards. Power steering was hard to drive the car. Also I never received any recalls on my vehicle by phone or email or regular mail from noone. Yes someone can inspect the vehicle upon request.

2 Steering Is Tight problem

Failure Date: 04/26/2020

I took my car in for service for recall 127 on 4/24/2020. The recall was to fix the steering failure. After the recall work was completed, my steering has gotten worse. It is hard to steer at highway speeds, gets in a stuck position going straight which requires effort to "unstick" and then you over steer. At slow speeds backing out and turning out of my carport the steering is way too tight, there is definitely something malfunctioning this is still an issue and another recall needs to issued. I contacted Hyundai and they didn't seem very concerned.

3 Steering Is Tight problem

Failure Date: 07/14/2018

59,600 miles in car. Parked car for night, next morning turned vehicle on and eps and esc off lights were on. Vehicle had no power steering and was hard to turn if not moving. Recall on eps software was done 11 months ago. Took to dealership where problems were diagnosed as bad sensors. That's not bad until they tell you sensors themselves cannot be replaced and you need to have a complete new steering column installed at $2,500. Yes the car is 8 years old, but only 59,600 miles. Looking at complaints, this is a problem Hyundai should address.
