Cluster screen was black. Lasted for 30 minutes the initial time. Happened again, lasted for 3 days before turning back on. No turn signal sound when using turn signals. No speedometer or any of the main screen shows. No blind spot indicator lights or sounds either. No engine lights or any other lights visible before this occures. Safety was absolutely at risk. High beam assist, check rear cross-traffic safety system, check blind-spot safety system, check forward safety system, check lane keep assist system, traction control disabled. All of those messages came on while driving. Rear backup camera quit working, reverse lights do not engage. No remedy for recall still. Vehicle is unsafe to operate without recall being fixed. This is my only transportation, fix it!!!.
Since 2/2/24 13 episodes of all safety features failing including blind spot monitor, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, and others. Last occurrence on 8-8-24. On one occasion the car failed to accelerate in the middle of an intersection, the car did move slowly and operation returned to normal after turning off the car and pressing the 12v reset button. Diagnostic codes found on car app include both c164286 and c164202 for all 13 episodes. Despite being told this code is "for the speed sensor because it saw a voltage drop from the battery system" the dealer claims there is nothing they can do because they can't recreate the problem. This is highly dangerous to my family and others as the safety features can prevent accidents. The most concerning is the car suddenly losing acceleration as this could potential happen where there is no safe way to get off the road in time prior to an accident. This loss of acceleration has been reported by many other people on the facebook group I am a part of called Hyundai Elantra hybrid owners. The loss of safety features occurred after all recalls were performed as of 8-8-24.

The vehicle applies automatic emergency brakes when another vehicle passes close by from behind in an adjacent lane, when the blind spot collision avoidance assist, feature is set to “active assist. ” the owner’s manual states that this feature operates when the turn signal is turned on in the direction of the detected vehicle. However, my experience shows that the car applies brakes even when the turn signal is off and the vehicle is driving straight within its lane, without changing lanes. As per NHTSA description automatic breaks to be applied if the driver ignores the warning and tries to change the lane. But Hyundai design applies brakes even if car driven within lane without any warning before applying break.

The bsd system keeps malfunctioning Hyundai to me that I should report it to yall because it should be recalled if just stops and also the brakes keep having a burning smell to them and the steering wheel when you turn left and right keep making loud popping noises those things should be recalled.
I had to replace my Cadillac converter twice and it keeps messing up on my car and I have to keep replacing my headlight bulbs on my vehicle. They keep going bad and the vehicle tells me when the headlight bulbs is out, but I don’t replace the headlight bulbs, four times and the catalytic converter three times and my blindspot detection system and rear across traffic alert system keeps going out on my car and I done replaced it and recalibrated it six times already and there should be recalls for all this on the vehicle and my license plate lights keep blowing out on my car and placed those seven times all this need to be recalled for 2018 Hyundai Elantra and there is loud clicking noises from the steering wheel when I turn left to right on 2018 Hyundai Elantra that also needs to be recalled that’s a safety issue and I replaced my brakes six times and the rotors on my 2018 Hyundai Elantra and this is a big safety issue that needs to be recalled so they can get fixed so the customer owner, don’t have to keep pay for it.
After raining here in houston texas I received a message on dashboard saying check rear cross traffic warning system. The warning has now inactivated the horn , the red lights on mirror does not alert me of cars behind me as I cross into traffic, camera works perfect but does not alert me of potential dangers when backing up like it normally would. The feedback when locking my car door is also inactive.
On Saturday December 16th my vehicle was parked as I was shopping. When I returned to the vehicle and started it, lights began to light up on the dashboard. They included the rear collision, front collision, airbag, parking brake, battery, tires, blind spot, and others. I called Hyundai and they said that they did not receive any communication from the vehicle stating that there was a problem. The front and rear cameras stopped working and I could no longer tell if my turning signals were operational as I didn't hear the normal clicking sound. It was difficult to turn as the steering wheel was tight. When I first went to the dealership, they refused to take a look at the problem. After filing a complaint with Hyundai, I was finally able to take the vehicle in on yesterday. They also are confused because the initial test showed that there was no problem. They now have the vehicle and are trying to find the cause. This is very concerning because in addition to basically driving blind, according to the manufacturer book, continuing to drive with specific light on could cause engine problems. I also was no longer aware of the speed that the vehicle was traveling nor how much going. The dealership says that it will be several days before they can get to the cause. There was no warning prior to all of the lights coming on and the vehicle has not been involved in any accidents.
As I started driving my Hyundai Elantra, the digital dash and infotainment screen went black and then I got a message that my Hyundai bluelink profile along with its settings had been reset. I did not initiate this reset. I never heard anything from the manufacturer about this incident either. This momentarily caused me to lose sight of my speedometer and it reset all my adas settings such as following distances, warnings vs active assists, etc.

My engine started making a knocking sound and stopped on me while driving it. Hyundai has determined the problem is a piston failure in the engine which is scratching the engine rendering my vehicle inoperable. First date this was noticed was on the morning of 01/04/2023 the car then broke down while driving at about 5:30 pm central time same day. Hyundai is saying they aren’t responsible for the damage however there is a recall currently that is for the same thing but they won’t repair it for free because my VIN number wasn’t affect but it is going through the same issues as described in the recall notice.

The 2022 Hyundai Elantra blue is Hyundai's entry level hybrid model, and after purchasing it about a month ago, we started experiencing 'near misses' while changing lanes and using the blinkers. while other models have a visible side mounted blinker on the right and left mirrors, they removed this important feature from the entry level model. this means there is no visible blinker on the side of the vehicle. while many vehicles have a blinker mounted on the front and rear of the vehicle with a reflector that wraps around to the side to give some visibility, Hyundai opted for small blinker lamps only visible directly at the front or rear of the vehicle. we have recorded a video at night showing the car with it's blinkers on as viewed from the side, and the only way to see that the blinkers are on is from the reflection on other surfaces. we actually tried the blinker in the daytime, and it is completely invisible when the blinker is on. the vehicle does have a blind spot warning that shows the driver when someone is in the next lane, which has been helpful. however, on a three lane freeway, we have experienced the issue where we are changing lanes at the same time as a car in the far lane, and the blind spot warning doesn't register the other vehicle until too late. thankfully, all we've experienced so far is honking from other drivers, but we are very concerned that this may lead to an accident. I contacted Hyundai consumer affairs, who directed us to take the vehicle in to a dealership. when we took the vehicle in, the Hyundai dealer rep recognized the issue, but said there was nothing they could do to take care of it since it was a design issue. we let Hyundai consumer affairs know what the dealership said, and they said "unfortunately the dealership would be the one to assist in the blinkers on the side mirrors. if the dealership is stating that there is nothing they can do unfortunately this would mean that your vehicle did not come equip".
I went to start the car up and all of the warnings attached popped up, along with losing my power steering. This is the second time it has happened in less then a year.
Twice now when starting the car all the driver safety systems will show a warning that they are not working and the message is that the car is not save to drive. A bunch of warning signs will go off and the wheel locks. The brake system has also locked up. I captured it on video, but it won’t let me upload it here.
On August 17, my new Elantra lost power steering, and most safety related features. Most all instrument warning lights came on. Was able to get car to dealer service where they kept car overnight, and reset the error lights. They told me, they recorded the computer codes, but could not find the cause of the problem. On August 26, again the instrument warning lights suddenly came on again. Took car to dealer service, where they kept car almost 2 weeks, but could not find the cause. They recorded computer codes. I contacted Hyundai, and a case number was established, but no fix has been found. Case worker has been difficult to reach. My wife refuses to drive this car. New electrical problems: 1. Driver's door handle light not working at night when approaching door. 2. Receiving false emails that car doors are not locked, but they are locked. 3. Using myhundai, shows door are not locked, but they are. When using application to lock doors, false message back that a door is open. 4. Navigation cuts off intermittently. 6. Gasoline consumption computer resets sometimes, other times it does not. 7. Remote start application does not work, says my door is open. 8. Items missing from center display menus. (door light, reset gas mileage etc) car has to go back to dealer service for needed repairs.
Many times after only a few minutes of driving the blind spot warning ?? light comes on that it is unable to report any vehicles in this area. This light will stay on preventing any vehicle warnings of approaching vehicles. This light will stay on the duration of my driving whether on interstate or highway. I have repeatedly ask during service for this issue to be looked at and resolved only to be told there is no issue. I have recorded this issue as I was traveling to let you know just how long it stays on. It sometimes reset itself once vehicle is stopped and turned off for several hours.
The steering wheel locked up while driving with cruise set driving my rpms went to 8 had no control over the vehicle ended up crossing three lanes of traffic hitting the side of the road going down the hill into a ditch.
The contact owns a 2020 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle erroneously switched from Smart mode to sport mode causing the vehicle independently accelerated. Additionally, the lane departure system would erroneously activate. The contact also stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle pulled to the right. The contact also stated that the exhaust pipe was rusted. The cause of the failures was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 400.
