6 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2010 Hyundai Elantra

Failure Date: 10/11/2020

The light eps , (electronic power steering) randomly turns on and my steering wheel would be stiff and I need to put great effort to turn. Sometimes I'll stop and turn off and on the car to remove the eps. Now on 10/11/2020 the eps light stays on. I might have a car that had a recall for 127. Its dangerous to have my car like this.

7 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2017 Hyundai Elantra

Failure Date: 08/14/2020

My car had recently began to shake and buck violently while driving with no warning lights or indicators at 38,000 miles. Three weeks ago before a regular maintenance appointment at my Hyundai dealership where I bought the !car, as I turned over the ignition and accelerated the car began to buck and shake violently. As I pressed the gas, the car would not accelerate. I was in the middle of traffic in washington, d. C. So once I was able to safely move over, I turned the car off and back over. No shaking and continued as normal. Once I took the car in the following week, I was told everything was fine and made sure to mention the shaking and bucking and was told that they didn't see anything. The next day following service and receiving my car back, my car began to shake violently again. Still no warning light indicator. I returned the car to the mechanic where my coil packs were updated (I bought my car March 2017 and was never told about any recalls on coil packs that release late 2017 until this moment). Once I received my car back I was informed that everything was okay. Well it was not. The next day I'm driving my car a short distance when two hard shakes happened. One sounded like two metal pieces colliding. I pulled over and turned the car off and back over. The malfunction indicator light is now permanently on. I had to have my car towed and now being told it could be the transmission but no updates. Seriously unsafe and could've now been in multiple accidents although I've regularly serviced at the dealership I purchased my car.

10 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2012 Hyundai Elantra

Failure Date: 07/11/2020

This is the second time this happens to me. The eps light turns on, the steering wheel gets tight. So the power steering disconnects from the engine. You literally can't steer. This last time it happened I was driving down a grade at night. If incoming traffic would of been coming I would have crashed into them or go down the cliff. The power steering was replaced once by dealer already less than a year ago. This car is un safe and I refuse to drive it any more. I was able to push it in neutral to the shoulder once I put it in park the car shook and it shut down.

11 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2017 Hyundai Elantra

Failure Date: 06/09/2020

I experienced the car idling rough while in park and sounding like it wanted to die out. I took to dealer and they replaced an ignition coil. The check engine light came on. Check engine light just came on again yesterday. . . Took it to autozone and they told me it was the ignition coil again. This will the 2nd time to have it fixed on my 2017. Seems like Hyundai vehicles have a ton of issues with ignition coils. After I got my car back it violently shook and check engine light came on. I was on the highway and the speed started to decreased. I reached out to Hyundai corporation about replacement vehicle . I still have not heard anything. I am not the only one with the faulty ignition coils.

Failure Date: 12/25/2019

Just bought the 2013 Hyundai Elantra, 12/21/2019, after about 100 miles of driving we noticed the steering wheel is off center. While driving in town and on highway shifting lanes it didn't want to go and it will pull hard left or right almost causing to run off the road. 12/25/2019, while on the way home I almost struck another car. More noticeable from 30 to 55 worse over 55. Driving on dirt road feels like it wants to fish tail. Steering is sticky yet a lot of play. Intermittingly while braking it sounds like scrapping like when your brakes are bad. Braking slowly or abruptly makes no change. Wet roads is worse with braking.

18 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2020 Hyundai Elantra

Failure Date: 11/21/2019

When I pulled out of my drive way at about 5 mph and began increasing speed (10-15 mph), I felt like my front tires may have needed air. I checked my dash and confirmed that all the sensors for tire pressure were on and working and the air pressure seemed to be fine. I began to increase speed and by this time was traveling east bound at aprox. 55 mph on the hwy, when the front left tire suddenly felt loose. I wasn't sure if it was my tire or the road itself but before I could even switch lanes my tire seemed to jerk me over to the left side of the road. My back tire fell off the ledge of the hwy and caused me to pull the wheel to try to correct the imbalance but I didn't have enough time before the steering wheel was wandering off toward the left causing me to smash head on into a tree into the center divider.

Failure Date: 07/06/2019

I recently had to slam my brakes due to a driver in front of me. And right at about a month later the acceleration to my car while in drive will not go. Took it to a mechanic and its reading a couple of codes t the sensors. I saw that in a search while trying to fix the issue that it has been recalled due to the esc. I am very upset that I was not made aware of the recall that is related to my VIN number. This happens at a parking lot near chuck e cheese on my sons birthday and I had to have it towed back home. I noticed the eps light was on. I shut of my vehicle and tried to trouble shoot it, which I was unable to do. 35 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2012 Hyundai Elantra

Failure Date: 05/22/2019

Parking brake warning light indicator on the dash board display: the parking brake warning light does not always display when the parking brake is engaged. This problem is intermittent and often causes a problem with driving. When the light does not display while the parking brake is indeed "on" the driver is not alerted by the warning light and expects to be able to drive the vehicle in the drive or reverse position. The causes a dangerous situation whereby pressing on the accelerator does not move the car as intended. It will not move from a stopped position, moves very slowly or lurches.
