Lug nuts frozen and bolts have to be broken to take the tire off. This is the fifth time this has happened when I take the car in for service. My other car is a Ford and I take it to the same place and have no problems. I owned other cars and never had the problem I have with this car.

My new Elantra has corrosion on the wheel spindle threads and nut. There is also corrosion on the wheel lugs and nuts. I returned the car to the dealer for evaluation,k and was told that corrosion was no problem. I requested to speak with the factory representative and have so far been ignored.
4 studs broke off tires.

The hubcaps are soley retained to the rims by a plastic split ring retaining washer, upon making the first tire rotation the consumer discovered that the washers had melted on the front lug nuts, the remaining unmelted section fell apart while handling, the consumer believes that the high temperature generated by the front brakes caused the washers to melt. Nlm.
