Tl the contact owns a 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe. The contact stated that water leaked into the vehicle whenever it rained. The contact stated that puddles of water formed on the floors of the front and rear passenger's side seats. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealer. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 34,000.

My wife and I just recently purchased 2 2015 Hyundai gensis coupe 3. 8 auto. This is a 3 month old car with 2700 miles. I took in once for squeak in rear area, they said could not hear it. I advised I would take tech out so he could hear it. They said they were to busy. Took back a second time, they said they could hear it, tightened everything in rear area abut could not find problem that may have broken weld!! they could not give me a loaner. After sitting my car across from their service center with a sign saying do not use this dealership that my car is still broken they gave me a loaner. That was last Tuesday. The service center (long Hyundai chattanooga, TN) said car was at body shop to fix a broken weld that there is a new technical service bulletin about this. This is a brand new 28k car with broken welds?? this seems very dangerous. We are waiting to see if car is fixed before contacting attorney. I have seen post going back to 2010 about broken welds on these Genesis coupes. This seems to be a problem that is not being fixed. The broken welds could be dangerous if in a accident.

We have a new Hyundai Genesis which has a factory defect causing a water leak and resulting in mold issues. Our family of 6 has had many health related issues since owning this car and mold testing has shown toxic mold. This has been an unknown issue with the vehicle since purchased new in February 2014 and discovered in April 2016. It affects the trunk and back seat. We are looking for resolution from the manufacturer who has been entirely unresponsive. A video and pictures of the mold is online on youtube at the link provided below. The vehicle was hit in the right rear quarter and then in the front, completely demolishing the front body work. Only the passenger side window curtain airbag deployed, likely due to the initial right rear side impact. The sole occupant (driver) was not protected and was injured (cracked pelvis, cracked orbital bone, nose injury) because the steering wheel airbag system failed to deploy. The manufacturer was provided with photographic evidence showing the above, but has declined to address the issue because "we attempted to inspect your vehicle and believed that an inspection would have confirmed the proper operation of the vehicle's airbag system. " the car was scrapped already and not available for inspection. Photos provided to the manufacturer (and available to you) demonstrate clearly that the front bumper assembly bodywork was completely ripped off the car, yet the driver airbag did not deploy. That would seem to indicate a catastrophic failure of that intended safety feature. The manufacturer's assertion about confirmation of proper airbag system operation is not credible in view of the facts. Please research the information and make sure that other drivers are not victimized by inadequate safety engineering.

The hood on the 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe does not fit properly allowing the hood to bounce at normal driving speeds. I have advised Hyundai USA and they have advised me that the fit of the hood is to specification. My concern with the vehicle is if the hood does not fit properly, it may not latch properly. They have stated, but will not put in writing, the hood will not unlatch.
