1 Other Fuel System Pump problem

Failure Date: 06/22/2017

My engine light is still on after replacing the fuel sensor 2 times and fuel pump I do not even know how much gas is in my car because the gauge is not correct. No matter what they do the engine light remains on it failed the e check ?????? there has been thousands of people with this same problem.

2 Other Fuel System Pump problem

Failure Date: 06/10/2017

There's been issues with the fuel pump and pressure gauge. We've already had this problem repaired 4 times and still suspect there's a leak somewhere. We can smell gas in the vehicle while/after pumping and after the car has been driven. Also, there seems to be an electrical issue with the headlights when pressing on the brakes, while driving.

3 Other Fuel System Pump problem

Failure Date: 04/24/2016

I have recently experienced a faulty fuel gauge, therefore activating the check engine light coming on. Vehicle has 107236 miles on it. I got on line and sought out possible info for this problem, and was made aware that many, many other owners of this vehicle were having the same problem. So I went to the Hyundai web site looking to see if a recall had been issued. There was none this problem appears to be able to possibly endanger human life, and/or injury. It is mine, and several other's opinion that a recall should be administered by the NHTSA to force Hyundai motor corp. To engage a recall for this problem, as this is becoming symptomatic from the facts that have been posted on the web. I, and many others would appreciate any assistance that you can give us in this matter, as after checking into cost of repairs, are quite costly, and the possability of a detrimental injury, and/or loss of life could occur!! the apparent cause of said problem, is a faulty fuel level sensor sending unit, and/or fuel pump. Thank you, sincerely, gerald k soileau.

4 Other Fuel System Pump problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2015

My fuel gage changes constantly. One minute saying I'm full, the next saying it is empty with the gas light on. Next the check engine light came on, brought it to the service center, whom stated that the fuel pump needs to be replaced. This is well over a $750 job and a known Hyundai Santa Fe issue. It is unacceptable that Hyundai hasn't recalled this part, due to the severity of this issue. This happens while being stationary and moving. It has been happening for a couple of weeks now.

5 Other Fuel System Pump problem

Failure Date: 09/24/2013

Check engine light came on, I took it to my mechanic who informed me its the fuel sensors. The one on the fuel pump and one on the gauge. My gas gauge will fluctuate to full then empty. I was told eventually the vehicle will shut down. Costs about $500 to repair. I just purchased my vehicle 5 weeks prior as used with 50320 on the odometer. I have a limited warranty through the dealer and an extended warranty as well. Neither warranty covers this problem. I am seeing that a lot of people have the same issue with these vehicles. It is a safety issue because you dont know how much gas is in the tank plus what happens if my vehicle totally breaks down in the middle of no where.

6 Other Fuel System Pump problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2012

Check engine light came on. . The fuel sensor has corroded because of ethanol in the gas. Was told I needed to replace both fuel pumps for a cost of 750. 00 not including labor. I cannot get an inspection sticker because of this.
