Shortly afterward, the message "system shutting off" was displayed, and the automatic emergency braking system briefly engaged, jerking the vehicle and dramatically reducing its speed of the vehicle but not to a complete stop. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated.
