The vehicle has seat belt and airbag recalls and the manufacturer has refused to complete them on the car. They had the car in a dealership for 90 days and have not completed the recalls on the car. I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata and I'm constantly having to change the back/front lights. They keep going out and the light bulbs are cheap. The back tail light has melted the socket and plastic so now I have to purchase a whole new one. Also everytime I turn the steering wheel there is a really bad clicking sound and the engine also stalls and the thing goes all the way between 3 and 4 and then the car finally jerks and moves forward.
The car confronts problems with the air bargs system. This happened to us in the afternoon after a change of light the car was running at 8 to 10 mph and suddenly without any warning the car exploded the front air bags and both of the driver and passenger doors.

While driving I performed a quick serve to avoid an accident when the driver side curtain airbag deployed resulting in hitting the median. The car was towed due to inopperable seatbelt and airbags obstructing view. There is already a recall out for this issue with model and year, but it shows that my car is not under the range of vehicles covered.

The cruise control malfunctions, when you press the steering wheel controls it may stay on even though you hit cancel. If you hit the reduce speed button, it may cancel cruise control, speed it up, or reduce speed. Also, the airbag deployed notification randomly turns on. It appears that some wiring running on the top middle of the steering wheel, directly under the airbag, is crowded or just malfunctioning. This happens when the vehicle is in motion while attempting to set or engage the cruise control.
The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. While driving approximately 70 mph, there was a sudden loss of power and the vehicle veered to the left. The driver's side seat belt failed to restrain and the vehicle crashed into a wall. The plastic piece fractured from the driver's side seat belt, which completely detached. The vehicle was extensively damaged and the contact was waiting for a response from the manufacturer to further investigate how the failure occurred. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

I am unable to access the Hyundai blue link software which controls remote start, engine stop, vehicle tracking and othet items. Hyundai dealer and Hyundai motor corp refuses to do anything making nthis vehicle and any others with the same feature a hazard. If someone hacks into my old emailaccount they can remotely start the car in our garage killing us, or remotely start and unlock the dorrs anywhere and there is nothing we can do. These vehicles should be recalled immediately and the corporate executives who have allowed this to continue be brought up on criminal charges. The car is also equipped with summer only tires in the midwest? unsafe to drive in any cold weather with snow or ice.
Was recently in a car accident on 7/15/15 driving my Hyundai. I was on the fwy at a complete stop in the exit lane. The other drvr was going fwy speed (60/65) and I was rear ended, pushed into the car in front of me, my car spun and I was hit again on the drivers side. And through all this none of my airbags went off. I am now recovering from hitting my head on the steering wheel, back and neck problems. ,safety was one of the main reasons we bought the car.
I was in a car wreck and the air bags did not go off. .
I got car accident on i90. A big truck hit a rear door on driver side and the car spines. The truck again hit to side of trunk and top door of trunk was gone and broken also back glass(back of rear seat) my question is why not deploy side curtain airbags on front and back seats. No airbags deploy. My wondering is that if my kid sit on back seat, I am scare of it. Is it normal ?.
I was t-boned tonight in an accident~~ I was driving approx. 35 and another car drove straight into my drivers side of my car going about 25-30~~she hit hard enough to ruin both doors, "crumpled" metal, rear fender, and scrub tires~~ none of the airbags deployed????? need better safety than this~~~ I got tossed around pretty good inside~~~~4 hrs later and I am in severe neck and shoulder pain!!!.
I took the exit on 605 north and stop at the light to turn right because there is a no turn on red sign. As the light turned green, I start the vehicle to turn right then got hit on the driver side up to the front end. The other vehicle ran the red light and his speed was about 45-50 mph. My car got hit hard at the front and turned 180 degree, none of the airbags was deployed. As a safety concern, I would like to file a complaint as I am gonna have a baby soon this year 2014. What if that another accident occur and the baby or my spouse in the car with me?.
Urgent. 1) defective engine per Hyundai's admission. I will not accept a software 'bandaid' approach to patch to my main ecm to resolve this problem. I did go in to sheppard motors to get this bandaid applied to my car. This is a bandaid, and shame on Hyundai. My engine is warrantied through July 2023. I've been around. 2) my car is brand new, with only 27,400 miles on her 3) the latest recall on both the low and high pressure fuel line/ hoses etc. Should I wait for a fire here? dear NHTSA: please look up all of the recalls and extended warranties on my vehicle. Unacceptable to me. I believe that no quality control whatsoever was practiced and applied on the factory production lines. Hyundai focus -- big money. Pressuring factory workers to put in any part they can find. I have some stories here about the audio system on my car that will absolutely blow your collective minds. I've been around. 4) Hyundai long since sent me extended warranties on a) the entire engine b) brake pedal stopper c) front coil springs d) seat belt tensioners (drivers tensioner was already replaced, and yet, it still does not retract completely when exiting the vehicle pray tell, what gives Hyundai? new car here. My greatest concerns about this new car that I paid for in cash -- and was defrauded in that process as well -- I could have bought a Honda for much less, and never have any problems. I am rather frustrated here and pray for government advocacy and intervention. Thank you so very much. #1 I need a brand new motor, the whole motor, which has been thoroughly quality control tested and proven, and which has been completely tested. My motor is very, very noisy. So, do I wait for the rod bearings to fail completely and stall out my car, causing a fatal crash? #2 I need both my low and high pressure fuel lines and hoses, etc. Replaced.
