Headlights problems of the 2013 Hyundai Sonata

All of these car have a headlight issuse also breaklight.

The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the braking system malfunctioned and the vehicle would not immediately stop while depressing the brake pedal, causing the braking distance to be extended. Additionally, while operating the vehicle, the front headlights would flicker off and on. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 126,000.

I sent a notice before explaining what happen but I was mcdonald's line my car was in park and when I try to put it in drive I heard a click noise my car wouldn't move out of park and after holding the line up over an hour I had someone to help me move it. It was after 9pm so I had to sleep in my car until midnight waiting for help I finally was able to get the car towed to my home and it was a $90 fee I missed 3 days of work to find a local mechanic to fix it because Hyundai said my car wasn't under warranty it had expire so now I barely drive it but still have to make payment it still not fixed correctly now when I try to shift gears it takes a while before the computer reads it. My light issues in the car the front headlight keeps going out I spent over $100 in the past month. Nothing is showing it's over heating or melting I had to pay someone to look at it and they can't seem to figure it out this had cause me to get pulled over more than once because I work overnight. Please help.

Ele093. �a quick google search will show that this is a normal problem for 2013 Hyundai Sonata vehicle owners. �this needs to be a recall or a TSB with owner communication to be fixed rapidly. ��.

I was driving home from work and then all of a sudden my headlights went out, so I pulled over checked my bulbs and they were perfectly fine not burned out neither was the fuse, I was stumped so I called my insurance carrier to have my vehicle towed home. The next day I called the dealership and they told me to take the vehicle in to diagnose the issue only to charge me $95 for a find of the wiring in the headlights to be affected , ive read online other consumers are having issues with the same thing not to mention the manufacturer having over 5 recalls for these vehicle which considers them as lemon vehicles under the California lemon law.

Both headlights and break lights continue going out. First time I replaced the break lights, they had melted to the unit. I have had both headlights go out at the same time on two separate occasions. I have replaced the alternator twice now and it is looking like I will have to replace it again soon, headlights are getting dull (it's hard to see, and my brights won't click on (it is not the blinker column)), the battery has been replaced when the alternator was replaced as well. This is getting expensive. The dealership told me it was the blinker column when it was actually the alternator. Replacing the lights have been happening for years, the alternator problem started last year, so within 2 months of replacing it the first time, it went out again, and now 5 months later, it is needing to the be replaced again. It appears that it is perhaps an electrically issue since lights, battery, and alternator are going out.

Intermittent headlights flickering on and off at night when using turn indicator and other random times. . . Been ongoing for several months. . . . Getting worse. . . . Dangerous!!.

The passenger side headlights would flicker and the dash lights too. Now the passenger headlights will not come on at all. I have replaced both the low and high beam bulbs and the lights will still not work. I paid over 2,000 for a warranty when I bought the car. The dealer told me that it was a bumper to bumper warranty. But that was a lie, the vehicle is unsafe to drive at night.

The headlight keeps turning off when I'm driving on streets and highways.

The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. While driving various speeds, the headlights intermittently failed to illuminate. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 64,000.

This writer is the owner of a 2013 Hyundai Sonata with 85000 miles. I purchased this vehicle in 2015 and noticed some issues with the taillight and headlights 6 months after I purchased the vehicle. I replaced the light several times before the mechanic informed me that my taillights would keep going out due to the piece that holds the bulb was beginning to melt. We then discovered that both lights were experiencing the same problem. I recently went to have my oil changed and had an inspection completed. At this time, the mechanic informed me that because I used the wrong bulbs, it melted. However, I informed him that just because I did not purchase bulb from them, does not mean I did not use the proper bulb. I am now unable to drive at night due to my headlight and taillight being out. The mechanic also stated that both sides are defected and needs to be replaced. I have also experienced a burning smell while vacuuming my car out. I am aware of these vehicles having multiple recalls and this should be investigated. . . . If this continues, I am afraid that the vehicle may possibly catch on fire. I have experienced my lights going out all at once while on a city street. This has occurred while vehicle was stationary, in motion, on a city street or a highway.

Headlights flicker while driving. They are getting worse as they are cutting completely off driving down the road. Some times it will even dim or completely shut off the interior lights. The lights cut off in the middle of a turn. I've had it in service 3 or 4 times and they can not seem to find the problem. The day I bought the car on the way home is the first time I noticed and called it in for repair. They have since then replaced the battery and the alternator in attempt to fix the problem which none of this has successfully helped. The car does this mainly while driving, but sometimes while in a stationary position. My job requires me to work nights which I can not even drive my car for this safety issue in the fear of causing a wreck and possibly injuring someone or myself.
