Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problems of the 2013 Hyundai Sonata

I can't put gas in the tank or it will leak out all over the ground.

Hello. My car started to get a very strong gas smell coming from the engine compartment so I made an appointment to the dealer to have them check it. The day of my appointment I could barely breath because the small of gas was so strong. I opened up the hood and I saw gas spilling all over my engine. I could not believe what I was looking at. If I had been driving my car would have caught fire. The main gas line from the tank was leaking most of the gas over the engine. The repair was over a thousand dollars. I think Hyundai should be held accountable. These defective gas lines are the reason why so many of these cars are catching fire.

While driving on the single lane toll lane of mopac expressway in austin texas during rush hour I ran out of fuel even though the fuel indicator showed approximately 1/4 tank of gas. I called 911. The firemen can vouch for the fuel gauge reading. I was lucky that no one was hurt from the incident. I contacted Hyundai and was told there was no recall on the fuel level sending unit. I believe this is a serious public safety issue.

Fuel gauge reading periodically sporadic. Says tank is about empty or much less than actual and moves around or changes to being ok. Has acted up several times over the last 6 months.
